Another quote from Wade that didn't make the article: "It's getting really ridiculous out there. I feel like it is almost to a point where there has to be actual contact for the refs to blow their whistles" J/k
Do not take it any other way than this. It is funny that both of his injuries came against Batt. If you think either one of those plays was dirty, you are wrong. Wade simply swung his arm into battier last year.
wade probably gets the most preferential treatment out of anybody in the league. how else do you explain that blocking call against battier? that wasn't even remotely close... battier beat him by almost a second and was clearly holding his position. nevermind the phantom foul called against his desperation shot with .2 seconds left in the 3rd.... since when do refs even make those calls???
that was funny.. As for the quote, that's DWade saying.. man this guy is bad luck for me. I am sure it gets annoying having a hand in your face for every shot, but I don't think that's near as dirty as moving under a jumper shooter
Battier plays Run DMC defense, as in, "People always ask me, 'Run DMC, what does that mean?' D for never Dirty, MC for Mostly Clean."
Yep..but haven't you ever wondered why Battier always needs stitches or has a black eye or get hit in the head from colliding with the other player?
Wade gets the most bs calls ive ever seen in my life. And how could the ref not call a technical on him yesterday? That was so bullsnit. WTF then scola gets t'ed up for no reason? It there is one player that gets a career ending injury early, i hope its d-wade. He's an overrated piece of ****
yeah I think you're right... when Dwade got injured the last time it wasn't like Shane was trying to hurt him purposely
He is not giving props to Shane's D. Come on. If you get locked down by a defender doesnt mean you have to get hurt in the process. Apparently he is always getting beat up against Shane.
i think he kinda is but every great defensive player is somewhat. after the shane trade was made, tmac said he was glad he didn't have to face him b/c shane scratches him all the time or something like that. at least it's not as obvious karate-kicking sczerbiak or taking the legs out of vince carter. that dude is dirty.
"I'm just thankful that I am not going to have to see him again this year,'' Wade said. "So hopefully I can stay healthy.'' What if he said that about Bowen. Do yall still think he is giving him some dues.
Must be a joke. Battier guessed right during one sequence when they bumped knees. Most other half-court sequences found Wade going around Battier with very little effort.
If you look at the play that dislocated Wade's shoulder, there was barely any contact at all and whatever it was it was incidental. Both that play and the knee play last night Wade initiated the contact also, so he's just commenting on his bad luck.
Shane is famous being a defensive stopper but you come and think of it, D-Wade is famous for acrobatic shots. I don't think Shane is a dirty player.
wade is a baby. you run around flying all over the place and you expect to be untouched? give me a break
Agreed. Batt was in position, feet planted, and out of the restricted zone. Batt should've gotten the call. And I'll be damned if anyone doesn't get a Tech from ripping the ball from the ref. *THAT* was some BS & no call.
I've seen this comment so many times that I have to add something. To me it makes some sense. When I ef'd up my shoulder, I didn't feel any pain for about 8 hours but it hurt to have the arm freely hanging for about a week afterwards. My injury was nowhere near as bad as Wade's (although bad enough to confuse the hell out of doctors and still have a very fragile shoulder 3 years later ) so it could have been worse in his case. Also, when you work out, after a few good sets exercising your shoulders or upper arms (when you get that heavy and 'full' feeling or just the opposite - weak, exhausted), the only way to take the pressure off is to sit down and put the arms on to something (like the armrests of a wheelchair) to negate the gravity or else you feel tired for a long time. So there could be some connection there. Can any trainers here tell me if I make some sense or is Wade really just a p***y? Either way, he will always have my gratitude for knocking out dallas.
