but the difference is we didn't diss anyone on the team. :D

every fan obviously likes their players so i don't know why you have to point that out.

No way, he doesn't drive as much. Kobe gets to the line way more, and makes like 87% of his ft's, Tmac is lucky to be shooting over 70%. His jumper is just better, it seems like Kobe really worked on his shot. When Tmac was in orlando, it seemed like his jumper was better, but I guess not. Anyways Kobe is just a way better scorer, better % shooter, posts up more, more dunks/layups!!

you're on point and no one is denying that part - kobe > tmac in scoring.

You missed my point, obviously. I never argued Kobe isn't helping his team win. I merely pointed out the difference between Kobe and Mac. Kobe is trying to be a prolific scorer to break records, whereas Mac doesn't care about those things anymore. He only wants to win.

That's it why I dislike Kobe.

YAO+TMAC is definately better than YAO+KOBE, let's wait and see what will happen in the playoffs :D

How many freaking assists do you need when you are dropping 60 pts? Look you gonna score 50+ you can't do that shooting the ball 12 times. If you are shooting at over a 50% clip from everywhere forget the assist. You're hot.. take the shot. The man has been distributing the ball all season. His coach says look this aint working I need to you light it up. Voila just like that 65-50-60 pts. Give the man his props.

Going back to the original question in this thread, I'd have to say that TMac more than likely could not duplicate Kobe's recent performance. I mean considering no one has done it since Wilt, it's not a knock on TMac to say he couldn't do it.

I'd still rather have TMac. He's a stand-up guy by all accounts and completely unselfish. I think Tmac could still win the scoring title if there was no Yao Ming, but who cares about that?

Be the way, don't you guys think it's interesting that all the up and coming ballers seem want to be the next Mac? I can't remember the last time someone said that they idolized Kobe....

if t-mac takes 40 to 50 shots a game like kobe im sure t-mac would score just as much as kobe does, but kobe is a ball hogg last time i checked he didnt get more then 2 assist in the last 4 games. we also have yao who when 100% can drop 30 pts a nite so t mac doesnt have to score like kobe. i just cant wait for the rockets and lakers game coming up i want to see kobe and tmac go at it! im predicting kobe gets shut down and tmac drops 45pts and the rockets win by 20

kobe averaged 30, 25, and 29 PPG under Shaq and shot a well percentage so Kobe could score as the no.2 option

but u only do that if your teammates SUCK. look at the memphis game.

odom was 8-12 for 20 pts
walton was 8-15 for 18 pts
    smush was shooting good

why the hell does kobe need to take 37 shots?

u only do that if ur teammates REALLY suck that night. kobe's disregarding the progress odom and walton have made AFTER their injuries and he's not integrating them back in time for the playoffs. w/ him doing this, it's gonna make it tougher for odom/walton to make it back to their dominant games earlier in the season WHEN THEY WERE 3-1 WITHOUT KOBE. odom was doing 19 and 9. walton was 14 and 6.

kobe can't score as efficiently as tmac b/c tmac can't get to the fts as easily as kobe. kobe is the best scorer in the game BAR NONE. this thread should be close if the question is "is tmac as good as kobe OFFENSIVELY?"

    the answer is NO.

but if you watch the games, do u see ball movement? ;)

What's your motivation, seriously... doublehh (nyk_buc)? Why do you feel obligated to reply to everyone that says anything negative about T-Mac? What did T-Mac ever do for you? Are you Arn Tellum (T-Mac's agent)? I have to say though... blazer_ben appears to be even more of a T-Mac homer than you.

i'm a fan. i defend HIM and but i also acknowledge his weakness and what he's not great at. i admit i'm an AVID tmac fan. but i know what he's bad at and what is he's good at.

tmac never did anything for me but pushes my passion for basketball. basketball IS my passion. and he autographed my jersey at my first houston-laker game and signed my tmac 3 ;) .

don't u have any "player" or role model u look up to that u dont really know? the way he plays bball is how i pattern my game when i play ball. that's why i like him.

again, u have to play basketball and BE GOOD at bball to know what i'm saying. kobe admitted he STUDIED MJ tapes for god sakes. if u study tmac's game as much as i do and try to implement it into my own game, u just follow the guy.

but doesn't mean i say he's the best ever.

Oh yea? And unlike other fans, you gotta keep name-calling those who say anything negative about T-Mac:

Wasn't it your bad mouth that turned you into a rookie?

Basically anyone who thinks that Yao is more important than T-Mac is a blind tracy hater to you. Those guys can't have their own opinion? You're such a great fan...

And nyk_buc, oh you're such a baller... let's ball 1 on 1. Meet me up at Lifetime this Sunday.

man please. u can say that b/c i don't know u. and i live in orange county. if u come there, meet me at miles square park every friday at 4pm.

but that's beyond the point. i don't want to diss anyone here. what u don't get is that i follow tmac b/c i like his game and how he impressed me MY FIRST NBA GAME watching houston-lakers 2 yrs ago in 04-05. he made me more of a fan of his. w/ how on the road, u still see him interacting w/ the courtside fans, smiling, giving hi-fives. how many players u see do that ON THE ROAD and actually be genuine about it?

but i'm sure ur HARD to impress :D
