The defensive matchups will dictate who "The man" will be, but IMO it's JVG's team and both players will dominate scoring depending on the opposition on any given night. It's also hard to answer this question without knowing who the starting PG will be because if the starting PG demands a lot of attention because of long range perimeter shooting range (Barry) then teams will have to pick their poison on any given night because we'd have too many weapons to effectively defend with good ball rotaion. A defensive oriented PG (Snow) would change the scoring possibilites and make it easier to double Yao or play zone against the Rocks. Other factors are Yao's stamina late in the season which could limit his ability to dominate in the playoffs for extended minutes which could be detrimental to the team's scoring momentum because of his fatigue, and T-Macs' back injury could be an issue in determining who would be the most dominant force over an entire season and (hopefully) deep into the playoffs. These factors may lead to the team truly being a team and seeing several players step up at different stages of the season with no single player emerging as the man. Just a So Cal fan's $.02....
