I'd say the team is tailored to a considerable extent to complement Yao. JVG got guys who could do a better job of feeding Yao in the post. He got guys who could hit from the perimeter when defenders double down on Yao. He got an athletic and mobile defensive PF to keep Yao out of foul trouble. Which isn't to say that he isn'tt rying to maximize McGrady's talents as well, but plenty has been done to build around Yao.
last year w/o YAO, HOU lost to same team, look like most of you guys forgot! TMAC is better player and can create his own shot, YAO need other to help him. This team build around TMAC and YAO, not TMAC or YAO alone. look at the players change this summer, most for YAO.
