Why don't you go with something more subtle - like "hillbilly trailer trash".... Seriously, if you have to ask if it's appropriate or not.... Spoiler it probably isn't...
Yeah, you probably shouldn't wear it. If you offend 1 out of 1000 people, it's one too many. That guy might happen to be 6'9" with a black belt in karate.
Are there any good slurs against white people? They all seem kind of funny to me -- honky, whitey, cracker, melba toast, gringo, etc.
Here's a better question: Would you be willing to go shirtless for the rest of the concert if someone said it offended them?
Wearing a 'Garth Brooks Fan Club president' or 'I love NASCAR' shirt has a little ironic humor in your case. 'Honky', not so much.
It's a party event put together by Learning Secrets called We The People. They do them once a month at different venues. They spin lots of Disco, House, Electro, Indie Dance Rock, & Oldies. Learning Secrets I'm really wanting to see Abominatron spin though. Abominatron Remixes I don't think the crowd is the type that'll get offended. Bunch of skinny size 29 hipster guys ain't gonna front. Oh I'm hispanic & catigorically white on the last census. They had a Bob Segar fan club available in black.
Considering the crowd your hanging with, this could be interpreted as ironically hip, instead of racialisticness irony (I'm jumping on your adjective bandwagon). Kind of like wearing a Color Me Badd t-shirt. I think a Color Me Badd t-shirt is perfect. No offense, Bob Segar fans.
Who's Bob Segar? Is he the lead singer of the magic bullet band? What you should write beneath "Honkey" on your shirt is "where the white women at?". That should turn more heads.
How about "white devil." I once heard this homeless black guy in downtown shouting at white people crossing the street and he was yelling "white devil" after a particular white person would walk passed him. He wouldn't call every white person a white devil, but just certain ones. I'm not really sure what his criteria was for that label, but I thought it was kinda funny. I stood about 50 feet away, watching him for about 5 minutes laughing my ass off.
Eh, it's a word. Generally speaking, I tend not to get too worked up over words (I try to find worthier things to get morally outraged over), but you know you're going to be walking into a situation where some people are going to be offended. You'll probably get some cheap laughs too. All depends on which is more important to you, I guess. Speaking for myself, I'd get a kick out of it if I saw it.
You what chaps my ass? It is alright to act racist towards white people and no one seems to give a damn about it. Does anyone know why it is acceptable to make racial slurs to white people, but no other race? The white male 18-40 is the most discriminated person in the USA. I was passed up on the first job I applied for so minorities (actually majorities but we still call them minorities like they don't have every advantage in the world) could have the job. Wear your honky shirt. And if I was black, I wouldn't care if you were a shirt that said the "N" word. OOhh.....see there? I had to say the "N" word in fear of being banned from the boards. People are entirely too sensitive.
