I just want to say that I think Major has been spot on in his posts in this thread.

And for those of you who honestly feel that the bad behavior of posters on the other side of the political spectrum are a reason to avoid all conversation here, I would suggest, or rather request, that you find a few reasonable people whose behavior is tolerable and attempt to engage them in discussion when an interesting topic is brought up. Then just ignore everybody else.

The liberal jerks on this board are almost enough to turn me into a Spurs fan.

No, there are plenty of people I disagree with whom I view as highly intelligent. Refman as a great case in point. Also people far more to the right - my father for instance. He's brilliant, but definitely his conservative views are based on a view of the world that locked into the 1940's.

I know lots of moronic tea baggers - they aren't changing the political dynamic. And they don't own a hearty work ethic any more than any other group. They merely learned from moveon.org. In fact, they are organized by Republican groups that have been around for decades. Creativity? Sorry - don't insult people. I work in advertising and that's all the tea party is - an advertising campaign.

But nice try to stereotype me and judge me without knowing squat about me.

Definitely seems to be more liberal based to me. Honestly most threads seems like 10 libs against one conservative. Maybe that's because so many threads are just a Basso disapearing act.

I take it by your changing the subject that you do plagiarize a lot.

I've just skimmed through this thread and frankly I think this just reflects a victim's mentality by some self-identified conservatives. Personally I don't see what the obsession is with political labels I presume for most of the people who identify as "conservative" would label me liberal yet many of those who identify as "liberal" would not. According to some I, and probably Major, are the worst of all "contended moderate". ;)

Even then I disagree with Major and have my agreements and disagreements with pretty much every other poster. I think overall that is the case and it is rare that any poster agree on every issue with any other poster. Among "conservative" and "liberal" their isn't a monolithic viewpoint.

I can understand given the nature of our political system and that as humans we are tribal that we seek out political labels but we might be all better off if we didn't get so hung up on them.

Forget what I said earlier. There is only one label that truly matters and that is ROCKETS FAN.

I DON'T CARE WHETHER THIS BOARD IS CONSERVATIVE OR LIBERAL BIASED BUT IT BETTER DAMN WELL BE ROCKETS BIASED!

Are you even a Rockets fan? Have you ever made a post outside the D&D? And if this board is so terrible because of all the liberals, why don't you go back and stick to your promise to just stop posting here?

And yet you stereotype people I truly believe you don't know personally. I would love to give you the names and / or resumes of the tea party advocates with whom I communicate. Unfortunately, I have a deep-seated belief in not sharing confidences with anyone other than the person with whom I have communicated.

The tea parties are permeated with doctors, attorneys, business managers and owners ... professionals of every type. Personally, I am aware of, and comfortable with, my shortcomings and talents, my strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, I get irritated when someone identifies an entire peer group as "moronic" without basis in fact.

Just as I disagree with the politics, rhetoric and methodology of groups like move-on.org, I do not characterize any of their members as "moronic." That's why I like to meet and talk with people who do not share my opinions. Otherwise, I develop a self-re-enforcing belief system with a singular viewpoint. Some of the posters here, both liberal and conservative, succumb to that frailty, but there are a great many who, thank goodness, do not.

BTW, I'm not surprised that you are in advertising where the whole truth is avoided and where accuracy is unimportant. Otherwise, your moniker would be "Sweet Lew 4 2."

Sample of da Whopper's posts. That's what he has contributed to this thread. See why he gets called out? Conservative or liberal, you gotta admit he's just a troll.
