yeah i think with the "hollywood" theme they went it like a poster like look. the denver one looks too much like their own team logo which i dont like. even the as warmups say 2005 DN on it, I thought DN stood for Denver Nuggets not just for Denver. the houston looks nice i think pretty clean, nothing too flashy. I like the asg logo from a few years back in washington with hte capitol building. anyways its not a huge deal i think to have hte best logo.
If that is it, as usual, the Rockets don't give a crap about giving it up for the city. They wouldn't even do an ALTERNATE jersey with Houston on the front instead of Rockets. Ugh.
That was the Superbowl Host Comittee's logo. Had nothing to do with the NFL. Wasn't necessarily a "secondary" logo. Although I admit, it was a BETTER logo.
I figured it out. The grey/silver in the Houston logo represents our smog. The black is for all of the roads under construction and the red is for those tight outfits our powerdancers wear.
By the way, did hwy 45 ever get finished? Last I remember, ten years ago it was still under constuction. And it was under contruction for 15 years before that (1975), IIRC. I seem to remember a start date in the 60's.
Actually, I was talking about the Gulf Freeway (which is southeast); towards Galveston. I used to travel that highway for ten years (1975-85) because we had a business down there. The construction was hideous. I remember complaining about it to my Uncle and he said that 45-Gulf Freeway had been under construction when *he* was a young kid (30 years before that). I'm a little rusty on the history because I can't remember when I asked him that. It could have been later on, not in 75-85, it could have been in the 90's when I asked him. looks pretty boring. I like the clevleand one. Not that it really matters. I'm just hanging out till we're due for a new logo and uniform.
Looks almost just like Denvers. Still OK. Hopefully they do a better job on the unis and make them less WNBAish than this years.
I think it looks pretty good. Minn's is my favorite of the others and our only competition in having a classy logo.
