25 games is more surprising. I just don't think people realized how much of a loss Hayes will be. Good teams with a good halfcourt game will abuse us even with Sammy D. He's foul prone.

I say 11th seed in the west.

And for you guys saying the Clippers will be out, Paul got the 7th seed last year by himself. I have no reason to think they won't get the 5th seed this season.

It might be more about the schedule and depth than teams and talent in a shorten crammed season.

We have nobody w the potential of Yao. Twill could.be like Francis but that's it.

That's what sucks this year. We currently don't even have a piece that looks like a potential.franchise player. I will change my tune if we are committed to developing twill and twins. They are the hope. Patpat too.

I think the real deciding factor will be how Mchale does. The team talent wise is the same minus chuck and i'm glad that the younger players will have a chance to play now. Either the team does surprisingly well and makes it into the playoffs with a 7 or 8th seed, OR the team is like a 25 - 30 win team.

You want to know why the Rockets want to push for the playoffs instead of tanking?

Somehow you have Memphis as a playoff lock this year, even though they won 3 games more than us last year. Why? Because they made the playoffs and had a good run.

That little fact changes everyone's perception of them. Their prospects going forward, the value of their players. In the eyes of fans, GMs, and free agents.

Winning changes the way people view you, rightly or wrongly. You win, and you are a young team on the rise. You lose, and you are dead in the water stuck in mediocrity.

It does help if you upset the number 1 seed in the west and go to game 7 with the Thunder.

Or you could be the Clippers, tank and get a Blake Griffin, then sign a superstar, and now become a championship contender. Clippers > Grizzlies right now.

I think we are better than last year, there are young players that are getting better all the time. I think one thru four that were a solid team and we won't have any problems with offense just like the second half of last year.

I doubt we will start off the year like we did last year, what were we 4 and 13 something like that, that's why we didn't make the playoffs. RA wasn't much on defense and I'm sure that KM will have the team focus on defense more.

Unless Morey blows the season up on purpose I think we are at the least a six seed.

That's kind of a strange comment to make considering that he only averages 4.3 PF's per 36 minutes of play. Hayes averages 4.7 per 36 minutes of play.

Hayes averages about 20 actual minutes a game with his high point coming last season when he averaged 28 minutes a game.

Dalembert averages about 26 actual minutes a game and he averaged 24 minutes minutes a game last season and only 2.8 PF's.

Why are you trying to spread mis-information?

This team is going to make the playoffs easily, no questions about that... The question is can we get out of the 1st round???

    Bingo.

I'd say yes with just a speck of possibility for a championship. I dunno if Odom and Vince Carter can make up for Tyson Chandler but if they do, that's gonna be tough, tough and the Superfriends are motivated this year.
