We can’t expect the threes will fall every night. BUT, we have a bunch of guys that will penetrate. We are playing with force. That creates a lot of reactive defense by our opponents. Also the defensive intensity is good.

Teams like clippers, bucks, celts, 76ers will be tests.

    What do you think?

It's not a fluke because we're finally starting to play the right way. Losing against big teams will be painful, but we need to go down fighting against them.

We will probably lost against the great teams when their stars just takeover and defense tightens up.

But you can't say our defense is a fluke

No, it is predicated on good defense first and foremost.

This was known to be an easy part of the schedule. Still, the Rockets are a good team and very capable of making the playoffs and possibly winning a series. You could see the talent of some of these other players even when Harden was here, and now they're really getting a chance to show what they can do. It helps that they are in relatively good health right now.

I mean its all law of averages. maybe all the early losses were just as flukey? we ran cold, now we're running hot. eventually we will even out. the team definitely looks like a playoff team though. not a play-in team, not a lotto team. however they don't look like a contender either. I'd be very happy with a playoff birth. ecstatic with second round!

Does it really matter? Enjoy the little things in life.

It's not like we're trying to win a title this year and if we overachieve in the playoffs, all is good too.

yes. switch everything was a great way to hide bad defensive players, and to force teams into playing our iso ball style, knowing we have the better iso players. good strategy for when we had James and Paul.

now we can play some drop coverage, some zone, mix it up depending on our matchup and the situation.

Current steak isn’t a fluke because we are not playing particularly talented teams so we are winning as expected. This is still an okay team - but we aren’t anywhere near real contenders- just a tough out at best.

A painful truth at the worst possible moment? Wasn't CP3 going down enough!? Damn the basketball gods!

NGL, schedule has been kind. That said. Rack up the wins while the team can. Seeds and positioning will matter if the team wants to make a run. By the time team faces the Bucks/Lakers/Clippers/Celtics of the world, hopefully it's this Rocket team in peak form.

Like to see how this Rocket team with some experience under the belt fair against really good teams.

Soft schedule playing teams missing guys like the Blazers without McCollum. But considering how we started the season with half our players either hurt or in COVID protocol I don’t feel bad one bit.

The defense and above average roster talent is good enough for a 4-8 playoff seed. However this team lacks a superstar so unless we can somehow become the 04 Pistons.....well just enjoy the ride.

But blowing out teams on the road is not a easy thing to do. Granted the road game isn’t the same with no home crowd. I will be very happy with a playoff team having a lot more flexibility for the future than last year’s Rockets.

Yes, and for those who would rather see the Rockets lose games this season and are therefore unable to enjoy the ride, maybe follow a different team this year or pick up a new hobby.

Hitting that many 3s isn't reasonable but the effort and sense of purpose/urgency on the defensive side is like Night and Day. Its like we hired a defensive minded coach who secondly preaches offense.

I love it, keep it rolling!
