Is this a crazy good roster and potentially fun team? Or am I just crazy?

Reasonably good roster, nothing crazy or too young.

Cousin is about 80% back he has a hard time leaping from the block, but by mid season he will be at least 85-90% back pre-Cousin

Vegas much like Wall Street, doesn't actually know what's going to happen. It's just a bet set by people who have imperfect knowledge. Unless they are in touch with Stone, Harden, and other GM's, how do they know if Harden will get traded or not?

No way you should start cousins. I would not play that dude more than 25 minutes a night given his history.

You start EG but rotate him out quickly. You need another pg on this team.

    And yes, you are crazy.

Maybe I'm not as worried as everyone else. Wall had a heel injury he was recovering from. He fell and partially ruptured the Achilles on his non-dominant leg. It was not a complete tear. I believe his biggest issue will be shaking off the rust. Now Cousins on the other hand...

    A good roster with Harden.
Average / ok'ish without Harden. With some upside to do it without Harden. Depending on coaching and pieces added.

Can tell its missing the superstar presence, even the Tucker glue guy. Honestly, can understand how this doesnt feel championship level roster to Harden. Lot of question marks.

Or, it could be me just readjusting my viewing to new regime. Without all of Harden and Morey and D'Antoni. (Though they were still jacking up crazy 3's) Running a "standard" process does feel different

Nah this team is loaded. Add Wood, Tucker and Brown before Harden... Harden has plenty of real threats around him. Harden has to man up and show up when it matters.

You add Harden and Wood to last nights team and they might be pretty damn good ....

IF Harden's gone , the expectations go from Conference Finals or bust to .... maybe they make the playoffs.

And as much as I want Harden to stay , that brand of basketball is FUGLY to watch .... I'll be content watching a bunch of young / hungry players moving the ball around , competing for their futures in the league.

A couple of the young guys look like they belong ....

The few minutes "traveling" Queen got , he did a little bit of everything. He's a fluid athlete .... if he can shoot he'll stick in the league.
Thomas might become a good defender - he moves his feet well ...

I do not disagree with you.

But Boogie is not starting 5, Wood is.

Silas has only repeated this over and over over after each practice.

Rockets need an upgrade at the 4 for sure however.

Trade for Aaron Gordon and the pace with Wall & AG will be ridiculous + he would be another roller/lob threat for Harden. AG would add another ball handler/playmaker to further discourage Harden double teams/hit traps.

As well as improve the defense on starting 5, especially against bigger teams like the Lakers.

Because AG could actually play alongside Wood and not be a defensive liability, especially on switches.

His biggest issue is to stop falling so hard, or so often.

This year will heavily depend on how John Wall and James Harden will play off each other. Then you have Cousins and woods in the front court. And finally you have PJ Tucker playing the true glue guy.

This can either go insanely well (will have success at parts of the season i think) but how will this team deal with losses ? I feel like that's the most important question.

Need to pump brakes a bit, Wall and Boogie still might be load managed/on minutes restriction.

    Rockets '21 potentially, 10 man:
    Harden, Wall, Wood, Tucker, House
    Cousins, Gordon, Nwaba, McLemore, (Brown)

    Rockets '18, title contender:
    Harden, Paul, Capela, Ariza, Ryno,
Gordon, Tucker, Luc Moute, G Green, Nene

18 has more proven healthy players
'21 has chance to be more versatile l. Has more prospects 9 on down. But lot of injury concerns, unproven Woods.

Last year we were excited for Ben Mac and House. We had 6’5 center. This roster in refference is loaded. Remember the year smartass Morey aquired stars like James Ennis and CP didnt play like 2/3 of a year? This squad is way better
