Is there anything more fake then the Dan Patrick show?

Bob Kemp ruled.

Russ Small was brutal. He and Kenny Hand were ridiculously boring.

 

Anybody remember when 610 had an affiliation with Prime Sports (I think) in the mid 90's and they had the Chris (O'Donnell??) and Annie Z show. That was pretty bad. A really small part of me liked it because it was a completely different view on sports, but those two women were just painful to listen to.

Around the same time, Ken Silverstein worked with Prime and he also had a show on. I would listen to his show daily and got a kick out of his "Bash The Team That Is Currently On Top" attitude. I think he made it his personal goal to garner as much hate together for Notre Dame and Nebraska football. Not a great talk show host, but was somewhat entertaining. Then they (610) switched over to using Rome during Silversteins timeslot and I hated it. I went about a month hating Rome because he was slamming the Rockets and I got tired of hearing the commercials where Al Michaels kept praising Rome. Then, for some unknown reason, I gave in and listened to a few days of Rome. When he started referring to when all of the Utah listeners would call in and talk about the Jazz and their Finals hopes as Championship Jazz Talk, I was sold. Terrence in Sierra Madre is probably my favorite caller. Jeff in Richmond is proof that the evolution progression can be put into reverse.

 

I think the worst local show was right before John and Lance took over the morning slot when Ed Fowler and (can't remember his name...I think it was Mike? Edmonds) had the 65-and-over sports discussion show. That was the hardest thing to listen to. I don't think there is a person with a more mono-tone voice than Ed...he could do voice-overs in movies for robots.

i hated that guy. he came across thinking he was so much smarter than the rest of the world. i hope he's slinging fries at Mickey D's and talking like a sass to the customers...

I liked the Arnie Spanier show, and Bob Kemp can kiss my a**. He was terrible, but good for ratings.

 

Dan Patrick was an idiot as a sportscaster and he has continued his idiocy into the radio business. The guy is a 100% assclown.

 

Bob Kemp is annoying, you can't agree with the guy. I remember once he had a topic that everybody disagreed with and he just ripped the callers, hung up on them while they tried to explain their points, and whatever. Then a caller actually called up and agreed with him and he went completely the other way and defended the point he was against just to he could rip into the callers. The guy is just looking for a reason to rip his listeners, I don't know hwo he is still on the air.

 

Arnie Spanier's show was great. I used to call the Stinkin' Genius every so often. He always started every call..."What's shakin'?"
