    Relax dude. I'm just kidding with you.

    You are the angry one, just look at your history with the McGrady debate. Years later, you figured it out.

    Also anyone who joined this board since inception is still on it cause they enjoy it, so nothing negative can ever affect them.

    You see, we won. we won because Clutch created this site and we joined for the exact reason why he created it and we never forget that. @heypartner @DaDakota @MadMax

    Rockets fans uniteeeeeed. Save your energy for cheering our team and wishing for the ring. I don't get the fighting amongst ourselves when we all have a common enemy. Any other sport team fans got nothing on the clutch fans, focus your hate on them. Peace.

    It seems to me, that for some people, to be a fan you have to bury your head in the sand, not acknowledge any shortcomings, and just be blissfully optimistic about whatever is being served up...

    Sure, that was the case when you were a kid... root root root for the home team and all that....
    I wore my Luv Ya Blue shirts religiously... I actually believed we were gonna "kick the door in..." lol
    I was optimistic during Barkley/Pippen...
    during Stevie/Yao...
    during TMac/Yao....
    had high hopes for Harden/D12...
    and I hope this squad can put together a championship run...

    but after awhile... you've seen the movie enough times that you know how it ends... you see the flaws... you see where yer dreams are gonna get screwed....

    That's why I will ALWAYS cheer for my teams (Oilers/Titans and Rox) - but I'm also gonna b**** about any perceived shortcomings... cause dammit, I'm tired of waiting for another championship!

    I know that even when you have the best team you can still lose (Phi Slama Jama) so let's at least get the right pieces in place and hope things fall our way...

    Right now, we got a lot of good pieces to the puzzle... maybe enough to get lucky... but I'd feel a whole lot better if we had a beefy banger to go to down low when the 3 ball isn't dropping for us... a more consistent defensive effort across the board... as well as curtailing other tendencies such as turnovers, inconsistent energy and sense of urgency, etc...

    I b**** because I want this team to make the adjustments that are needed to win a ring - not just be in contention, not just set records or have a great stats.... a ring - that's the goal - period!

    That's my rant...

    Accepting reality and see the bigger picture. There is no what if, there is only what did.

    player only fans use 'what if' as their crutch. each season is also a different story than last season.
    recognizing who is TRULY a player to invest comes by being team fan first.

    for example, when these mcgrady fans joined, they felt mcgrath was entitled to such things as championships and mvps.
    they don't blame him, they only blame everyone else if these goals are not accomplished. they don't recognize the pattern.

    a team recognizes the team's history and their standards. the highest standard is Hakeem Olajuwon. so when you keep losing in the first round, you naturally want a better player cause your team is investing too much time in a player that would never win anything.

    Harden is worth the investment because he has elevated and led the Rockets to a conference finals. this has not happened since Barkley was on the Rockets.

    Also the battle for the truth is pure.

    @DonKnock I think you're the t***, man, but this thread really sucked. @tinman might say he was just kidding around, but the tone of his posts aren't a joke. Leave @Downtown Sniper alone!! All of us CF brehs need to unite because this season has the potential to be really, really special, and I want us all to be there to enjoy it together!

    Well, all of us except @PeterKingX. I want to box that hater.

    I just understand what the OP was talking about and I understand that the poster wanted to give a monetary number to his rockets experience. to me it's the effort and time which is more important than you spending XXX$ amount.

    For example, I watched a game with @DaDakota at a sports bar. you can't monetize watching a Rockets game with your brother. you can only give an amount on how much the wings and beers cost.

    my posts are like Rakim

    You and I have witnessed and experience Clutch City.
    You know what our standard is and it's not for a player who never won a playoff series.

    The irony of this is comical.

    Being, that you in fact are a joke.

    Every post you make just further typifies this.

    You wouldn't be so bad tinman, if once you realised you'd lost the battle, you didn't continue to double down on your idiotic rhetoric. I thought we'd turned a corner a few weeks ago when you suceded. But alas, I think the emergence of DonKnock has given you the confidence to pursue your old habits with more vigour knowing your title of most ludicrous poster is up for a challenge.

    So according to you:

    - only people who joined in 99 are fans
    - only people who live in a close proximity to Houston and can attend games are fans

    My girlfriend has been at her work for 8 years now.
    I met her nearly 4 years ago and we've been going out for 3.
    So based on your logic my girlfriend loves her work more than she loves me.

    My girlfriend lives on the coast a couple of hours out of Sydney, so rarely do I get to see her during the week. Only on weekends.
    But her colleagues get to see her every day.
    Using your logic, those colleagues love my girlfriend more than me.

    Are you picking up what I'm putting down, brother?

    Normally, this is how I'd feel after, again, shredding your argument to pieces.

    [IMG]

    But I'm persevering and will double tap you to finish you off. Until you go all Walking Dead on us and reemerge ready for another put down.

    Please bring up a post I've made where I've said Tracy McGrady is 'our standard'
    Please bring up a post I've made where I've said Tracy McGrady was 'entitled to a championship'

    I'll just start off with those two glaring statements you insist I've made in the past. I'll just leave you to be embarrassed by only these two, instead of harping on the rest of the verbal diarrhoea you've spit out.

    While class is in session though.

    @DonKnock
    Hey, brother. I LOVE Indian food. It's a known fact about me. Much like I love my Rockets.

    I've had 9 absolutely superb, very pleasurable meals which have left me greatly satisfied with this restaurant.

    However, one meal I've had was so severely undercooked and poorly prepared I actually had very severe food poisoning and was sick as a dog and bed ridden for nearly an entire week.

    Now, based on that simple math I love this restaurant 90% of the time.

    According to you though, I cannot make a negative remark about the woefully prepared food or offer constructive criticism in the hopes the restaurant will take note and strive for better things.

    It should be right around this point in time that you realise how glaringly stupid your thought process is.

    It's unfortunate it's deemed a 'rant' brother when you're just speaking the truth.

    But that's the twisted world we live in these days.

    Keep fighting the good fight, I'll be right there with you. Like we both are right there with these Rockets through the good and the bad.

    You joined as Tmac fan. you wrote that.

    The Rockets represent the city of Houston, so the local fans were more engaged before the NBA became world wide.
    There were several influxes of player only fans to this site.

    First was YOFs, then TOFs, then LOFs, then the we have small populations of player only fans afterwards.

    you belonged to the TOFs

    This wasn't even a reply to me and you fail to see the other poster's point of view, which was the correct one.
    Team fail = McGrady had no help, that's classic Tmac fan excuse.

    You failed to see that when Rockets fans who watched the Olajuwon era had a higher standard, not 'hating'.

    The thread was not even made by me, you may not really want the Rockets to lose, but you project that so much that someone wrote a thread about it.

    This thread ain't about me, it's your name in the bold.

    Barkley = WCF
    Pippen = 1st round exit
    Steve = 1st round exit
    Tmac = 1st round exit
    Yao = 2nd round exit
    Harden/D12 = WCF

    It's not just shortcomings, it's knowing what really happened vs delusional what if scenarios.

    But you know what happened that can't be questioned:

    Clutch City = 2 championships!

    Let me answer this one for you.

    Harden did everything better and is still continuing to be a much better Rocket player than McGrady.

    Hope you this answers your question, Rocket fan.

    FYI
    the little up arrow sends you back to the original thread where the post was made

    Your entire first argument has absolutely nothing to do with what I called you out on. Par for the tinman course.

    It would be comical for all of us at Clutchfans, if we hadn't seen this same old scenario play out time, and time, and time, and time again before. You aren't known on this website as being a great Rockets fan tinman - no matter how much you tell yourself this.

    You'd cringe to actually know what people think when 'tinman' comes to mind. I actually think that's how you've gotten to be the way you are, perhaps deflecting and never acknowledging leads you to never see the truth.

    So please, go back to answer the questions I posed. And try to save face instead of just proving once again you have absolutely no idea.

    I never said I didn't join as a T-Mac fan. That's evident.

    I think you don't quite grasp the meaning behind 'belonged' - even though it is a word you in fact used to try to and land a body blow - which actually weakens your case.

    Yes, I did originally like T-Mac which is what lead me to follow the Rockets. That quickly disappeared. Even someone as deluded as you knows wha
