Wait...you guys are basing your hopes on the fact that not one but TWO of the premier potential free agents of 2010 will sign with Houston?

    wow...interesting.

You guys happen to be the "when Gisele dumps Brady, I'm taking her out to MickeyDs" kind of people?

There is a way. We need the help of one woman:

Would you turn that down? Now all we have to do is get rid of that other guy.

Excellent facts stating why they wouldnt sign with Houston.

We would have the money to sign both and why wouldn't they want to play together?????? That in itself would be intriguing enough. They would have big time potential playing together. It's not impossible like the way your making it sound.

It's not impossible. Just like me winning the lottery isn't impossible, but then again, I don't go around basing my life around that do I?

Too many flaws in your plan for it to be taken seriously. You just kinda assume that, oh, cap space, so the superstars must come! like what

I wouldn't be willing to bet two franchise stars on that biggie.

    Good point.
I think Rafer has done what he must do.
Rockets needs the spirit.Yao and T-mac need more wish to win.

I hope Rockets will get red this season. And I wait......

all we know about that situation is this:

lebron claims he will sign with whatever team offers him the best chance at multiple championships. but he also wants to be the first billionaire athlete.

nike has offered to nearly double his contract with them if he signs in NY and offered huge raises if he signs in one of the top 5 largest markets. those being (NY, LA, CHI, HOU, and the last being boston i think).

morey has said that the game plan is to have enough room under the cap to make a max offer. only yao, shane, and possibly a re-signed ron artest will be on the books that summer.

i believe that next season will be tmacs last in houston. the team SHOULD go in a new direction after that. there will be plenty of options through FA to add a SG weather or not they land lebron or wade.

It really will depends. Know the theory where players tend to get less injured after the age of 30?

This is probably our last shot, and if Artest resigns, we'll have one more chance of producing noise with a better chemistry team.

However, I really don't want Lebron. Not like he'll sign with us anyways. He wants attention, he gets attention. He may claim he wants a championship, but he is also arrogant, incredibly arrogant.

Lebron would be a better point guard than Francis. and Francis will be either retired or still rehabbing by then.

I have a feeling he will stay in Cleveland and is just pushing them to improve the team. Maybe they will end up with Chris Bosh and other complimentary players. then go on to win multiple championships.

as great as it would be to have him here. it aint gonna happen. just like francis making a comeback. unfortunately, it aint gonna happen.

Rafer makes like $1.25. His salary has no impact on the Lebron situation.

    Francis. seriously?

Artest? His contract is up this season. Why do you think he stays?

Why are we talking about this? Besides, this should go into the trade proposal thread.

Is it really that difficult for you to give some valid points to dispute this????? If your going to bash the idea at least give a reason instead of going in circles about how its a bad idea and you just have no idea why.

Money talks btw. Cap space plays a big role. And it's not like we're asking them to come to a franchise like the freakin Bobcats or Thunder.

Lj has talked a lot how he likes ny, he thinks he belongs there, new jersey is another option, he has his friend Jay-Z there, but houston, what do we have to bring him here? Money? i think a lot of teams prepare this much earlier than we do. Championship competence? Lj is the championship guy.

    1. we are the strip club capitol of america.
    2. best BBQ in the world.
    3. connections to China's billion+ population.
    4. and Gallery Furniture REALLY WILL SAVE YOU MONEY!!

and the only reason he is friends with Jay-Z is to get to beyonce. but once Jay-Z finds out Lebron's bangin his wife their relationship will be over.

    please God make it happen.

Look at the part right before what you bolded.

Maybe a longshot, but it doesn't exactly sound like "MickeyDs" either.

Too much of a longshot. If the selected excerpt convinces you that it's worth dreaming about Wade/Bosh, then hopefully you read everything else that says "nope, not gonna happen" that is above and below that and note the fact that Houston is already a 1 in 7 shot of getting just Bosh if that were all that you read.

I don't like doing it, but man, if your hopes for the Rockets center on getting two free agents almost impossible to unite, then you're strongly disillusioned. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just don't expect it to happen. And don't pin your hopes on it.
