This does not sound like how DM does business at all. Trading valuable assets for unproven talent? He usually turns unproven talent into valuable assets.

Remember how we traded Landry for Kevin Martin?

idk about that monte guy, if we could get greg monroe thatd be the best case scenario.. theyre similar but Monroe is a better player and their the same age AND Monroe still has room to grow.. Monroes ceiling is alot higher than that guy, but Monte is a good player

Damion James is impressive.. I feel like he could be a SF/PF version of James Posey

I think the Martin-Hill trade begins a Rockets era where we are no longer going to be underrated, undersized, undereverythings. You don't need to worry about that kind of stuff when you are drafting in the lottery. Morey knows that hunger is the most important quality in an NBA player, but now he's got the means to acquire both hunger and the height, strength, and speed specs to back them up.

It's time to turn those "intangibles" into "tangibles". Passive inconsistent big men like Greg Monroe or Patrick Patterson or Solomon Alabi were probably never on our radar to begin with (a la Thabeet), but if Morey is going to be drafting with our pick this year it's probably going to be a nasty beast of a player who also happens to be highly regarded (unlike all our other past draft picks). Obviously guys like Cousins and Evan Turner would be tops on that list, but they aren't likely to fall to where we'll be picking. So my money's on the other tangibles guys like Aminu, Ed Davis, Whiteside, James Anderson, Xavier Henry.

It's going to be great witnessing the first Daryl Morey Lottery Pick. Will he trade the pick twice again like he did in the 2008 draft? Which GM is he going to embarrass this time? Oh the suspense!

If we're trading Brooks AND a Pick we better be getting back someone reliable like Evan Turner or John Wall.
No way Montiejunas is worth Brooks+Pick and I doubt the Rockets will draft Vesley to be honest.
