Is the relationship with Ryno salvageable if we attain Melo via buyout?

He'll shoot much better at Toyota Center because he will think it is a road game.

    who cares?

He's getting paid more money than Trev and Tucker combined.

    His job is to shoot.

Hey, I want LBJ just as much as the next guy but literally the only impactful player we have signed outright in FA in the last 20 years is Dwight Howard despite having meetings with several marquee free agents year after year. The odds are so low that we would ever win a FA acquisition like LBJ - he has never expressed interest in Houston at all. The only way he would play in Houston is if it were to play with his friends and in THAT case, having Melo actually helps us make a pitch to Lebron.

You never know, it could seriously motivate him in the off-season to prove the entire league wrong. If I were him, I'd be more upset that no one wanted me rather than my team tried to trade me.
The downside is that it could mess with his head and the pressure/lack of confidence will affect his shooting, making him even more of an over-paid player.

ya that's why i think we need the trade, in order to retain melo's bird rights and be able to resign him next summer. otherwise we can only offer him $4M so he bolts......and less chance lebron cometh

Not sure why acquiring Melo would change the relationship between Anderson and the Rockets. Anderson finshed last season on the bench. Acquiring Melo shouldn't really change anything. Considering how much he's getting paid, and how little he contributes on the court. I think he will be more than happy to keep his mouth shut and cash checks.

Who cares. I really dont GIVE A F***.... No one cares about Anderson and his feelings.

I wouldnt mind if we traded Anderson for Carmelo.... but i would hope no picks are traded from either side.

Trade Scrub Anderson and washed NENE and maybe a oversea prospect.... get out from those 2 deals, and get Melo on an expiring.

I can rock with that. I am among the minority, but I like Melo in this system. He would def help.

I have trouble seeing a realistic trade unfolding to get Anderson out of a Rockets uniform without sacrificing much needed players or future draft picks. Even if he's shooting well (which he doesn't do consistently anymore) he is and was a pretty significant liability on defensive switches.

Melo, at best, is essentially what we were hoping to get in Anderson but I have doubts he would contribute appropriately to the team's success and would more reasonably erode our team's chemistry with his superstar ego-centric tendencies.

I can't really see many teams wanting to help us out to solidify our strengths as the main competitors in the West (outside of GSW), but maybe just maybe another surprise trade happens this off season.

If there was somehow a way Melo landed on this team , it would be like Josh Smith 2.0 . I'd be cool with it if he could get bought out .

Ryno needs to be deleted from the roster, get this dude outta here

paying this bum 20 mil to have courtside seats for playoff games...what a complete waste...

Imagine if we had an extra 20 mil worth of production in that GS series?
