I have joined the group who believes we shouldn't trade for anyone that is in the middle of their career or older. Before the season started I still had hope for a title run (importance of adding veteran pieces), but others were ahead of the curve than I was by saying to only look for trading for young players even then. There are two cavouts. 1st, if we can get a veteran at no cost or by dispensing salary (e.g., D. Harper for W. Williams) who will work in a mentoring type situation that would be fine. 2nd, if we could get a Hill, Shaq or the like, I might think differently, but I just don't think we can get a guy like that. Given more than likely we are talking about adding smaller pieces to the puzzle for a run in maybe 3-8 years, I believe we should commit our resources on players that are only going to get better.
