I've always wondered how science got mixed in with philosophy and sociolgy to yeild religeons anyway. Why must religeon try to explain the nature of physical existence in order to promote a social code? I guess the ancient elders realized there is no veil of authority without omnipotence, no effective consequence without the threat of a higher eternal power. Nobody is scared anymore once they find out the Wizard of Oz is just a man behind a curtain.
