Is Tari playing his way out of Houston, financially?

At first, I appreciated her enthusiasm, but she lacks self-control and often makes Tari look bad in public with her antics. It seems like she’s more interested in seeking attention than actually protecting her son. You can support your child by remaining silent at times; otherwise, excessive commentary just invites unnecessary negativity. In my view, she’s doing more harm than good for Tari’s reputation.

That franchise has also been historically cheap ..... which is why they traded Harden.

They might be in a similar situation sooner than later, forced to choose between some very good players.

SGA alone is going to cost them $68m aav from 27/28 to 31/32. Chet & Jalen Williams both extended starting in 26/27 for a $48m aav each.

They will be dealing with the 2A as soon as next season and in the repeater tax in 27/28 .... They will have some tough decisions to make.

It's possible history repeats itself .....

Nah I think she's dope tbh, can't say I've ever seen her say or do anything that reflected badly on Tari. Any examples?

If he stays with us, I hope he’s able to turn things around. My disappointment really stems from the high expectations I had, I thought he could be the Kawhi 2.0, but at this point, he seems far from that. That said, I have no complaints about his contributions off the bench; he brings great intensity to the team, and every roster needs a player like him. Of course, it all comes down to how much he’ll cost us moving forward.

This is just one example, but I’ve seen many like it before. What’s the purpose of this tweet, other than to seek unnecessary attention? How does this help Tari? A fan can share whatever they think but she isn't just a fan.

Wait, you have an issue with this? Seriously though? I genuinely don't see what's wrong with that at all...

I hope he doesn't "turn things around" because he has been trending in the right direction all along. He just needs to keep improving on the margin. If it were not for Amen Thompson, people would be excited for the jump Tari made and looking forward to more improvement. Per 36, he played like a fringe all-star last year. Hopefully with an offseason where he can train without restrictions he will be ready to start the year playing at a high level. Tari's only issue has been the freak injury. Hopefully it is in the past. Having Tari's injury restriction lifted is a top-5 offseason Rocket's information nugget that I waiting to learn about.

So you think Tari is on the same level as SGA or Tatum? Just look at the replies, she’s basically turning Tari into a laughingstock meme. It’s fine to believe in your son, but let’s be real: he’s not even a starter on his own team. Hold your horses Mama.

Tari was a freight train towards the end of the season until his father died on April 2nd. His play collapsed immediately after that.

Assuming he's been able to work out unhindered this offseason and has no restrictions during the coming year, I think Tari is gonna bust out and surprise people. Don't forget: Two years ago before he was finally shut down due to the injury, he was breaking out. The scheduled DNPs made last season mostly an exercise in frustration.

Besides obviously Amen, every guy drafted by the Rockets over the last 4 years is polarizing to some degree, except Tari. IMO, he is far and away the most overlooked and underestimated guy of the roster.

(Disregard this post if his leg remains a problem).

He has to turn things around for the playoffs or you are satisfied with this:

Where did I say anywhere that Tari is on the level of those people? 1.Don't put words in my mouth, it's weird as **** and makes you look disingenuous. 2.It was a god damn joke post saying "yeah hate on my boy and turn him into a champ." Let's be real, you're projecting WAY too much weird bias into this and making a completely innocuous post out to be way worse than it is, and then trying to build straw men because it's a ridiculous overreaction. Hold your horses, respectfully.

I don’t think he’s polarizing at all; it’s just that most fans no longer expect him to reach a Kawhi-level ceiling, so we’ve come to accept who Tari is, a high-impact bench player who brings real intensity. That major leap could still happen this season, but as you mentioned, it depends on his leg, and we don’t have enough data yet to be confident he’s fully healthy.

Jabari is the most overlooked IMO.

I’m not sure why I even bother responding to you, my mistake. All you seem to do is insult and badmouth others. Your behavior is as classless as Mama Eason’s. Enjoy being a fan of a player’s mom, I guess.

My point was that Tari is NOT polarizing...because he is mostly overlooked and underrated.

Also, at no point was a Kawhi-level ceiling projected on Tari. Not sure where you got that from.

She just loves and supports her son. Don't see anything wrong with that

Defensively only, yes, I think Tari's ceiling is something near Kawhi. IMO, the main thing in his way is the very dumb fouls.

But as much as I like him, Tari will never be a top 5 NBA player.

What do you think our extension offer on the table is for Tari that he hasn't accepted? 4/60? 4/80?

Probably 4/80. That's what I'd be offering anyway. Depending on what they know about his leg, of course.

Tari is an elite A1 defender around the nail but the offense leaves a lot to be desired. Idk that makes a $30m/yr player. My gut reaction is that his best play is off the bench due to the frenetic nature of his energy level but that doesn't seem to be the case looking at his splits. Above 30 minutes was the highest % and per-game numbers.

I will say, it's hard to draw up a better fit for Alpe than Jabari Smith Jr. Tari's not the rim protector like Jabari is, nor is he the same quality of shooter. And for as much grief as teenage Jabari had to take, he's got the greater potential and is still something like 2+ years younger.

Truly, idk why they don't play Tari at the 3 more. Is it the weak shooting? An Amen-KD-Tari-Jabari-Alperen lineup sounds devastating. A 20/10 big, a 25ppg scorer and royal rumble defense. Almost didn't even mention how I think Amen is going nuclear this season. If we don't see plenty of that lineup I'd be quite shocked.

All in all, I think he's probably the blue chip in trade talks now. Someone's going to have to pay him, even at 20/yr I think the cap gymnastics really ramp up considering Amen's forthcoming max and Reed is *hopefully* going to start earning some cash-in too.

Gonna be a heck of ride in 25-26
