    We're a multi-cylindered engine. Sura's not one of the spark plugs, he's the gasoline.
    JVG is the battery. :D

    Totally agree. Need that killer instinct. I've seen flashes of it from Tmac. Yao ... not really. But we have time. Some players never get it, some get it briefly then lose it. Hopefully they will get it.

    While I wouldnt say this isnt true, these 2 statements scare me:

    Our best rebounder is Juwan Howard

    Bobby Sura is a franchise player.

    I would give Sura the MVP for the 2nd quarter of the season.

    James will need the time that Sura is out to get into the flow. After Sura comes back, I'm gonna like Sura, Wesley, Barry & James in any combination. And it looks like all 4 can play both guard positions.

    Yeah, it's great we have options. I have a hunch that if James start playing great the next 4-5 games that he'll get the starting spot and cut back Sura's minutes a bit just to save him for the play-offs. I'm mean, this all depends on James's performance. But it would be nice if we could rest Sura more. He plays 100% all the time and might run himself into the ground before the end of the season.

    Sura, Barry and Deke could be a nice bench combination. I guess we'll see. If James doesn't start, it will be because we'll be missing that special hustle that Sura gives. That's good and bad.

    Doesn't matter- Van Gundy's coaching him, so the injuries are his fault, not Sura's.

    Here is some more for you:
    Spoon is the gasoline tank;
    PEwck is the windshield wiper blades (or ashtray, exhaust... pick one yourself);
    Barry is the light bulb;
    Moochie is the snow brush (or used to be);

    agreed. there's no denying the impact sura has on this team, and with him i think we're contender status. i just hope the players who are playing show more effort to make up for the things that we're missing while he's out. he gobbles up long rebounds and watching the games that alone is probably the difference in the 3 losses.

    Wow! pgabriel said it! I almost missed it.

    I agree 100%!

    It's all about that mix of talnet plus, smarts and hard work. Sura seems to be strong in all of them. The rest of our team seems to be strong in one or two of those, but lack in another.

    The rest of the team needs to learn a bit about that Sura hustle.

    I agree with pgabriel as well. Sura is not the most talented, but he is the one who wants to win in the worst kind of way. And to varying degrees his teammates are not as intense about it as he is.

    Can Bobby show up at games now and hit the rest of the team with his crutches? :D
