Is Steven Adams playing himself off the Rockets?

    Seriously afraid of this possibility. If a contender offers him a full max length MLE and a starting spot it would be hard to say no. Don't we have his bird rights? Maybe we can give him something like a 25 + 20 team option. If we don't then it's probably full MLE.

    Boban was on Ime's team too anyway. So the Silas stink thing is kinda cancelled out
    I hope so too. Perhaps its more sentimental for him that the Rockets stayed reviving him instead of giving up on his return. But we've seen "Loves the team, Loves the city" guys go get that big bag on other teams plenty lol.

    Contenders tend to not have cap space.

    The real fear is that one of the rebuilding teams overpay him like we did with FVV to help a young team develop.

    I suspect that since we have his bird rights he will be back if we want him. He requires a lot of maintenance to consider paying him anything above MLE money. Even MLE may be too much.
