i don 't know if this is posted already, but francis has a strong tendency to pick his dribble. If he doesn't do that he jumps in the air with no one to pass to. I love the guy but we need to get his confidence back.

He is getting less minutes than SF3, and had more time in the line-up to prove himself, so I am not sure you can say he has been a good piece for the most part.

SF3 needs to be told to score. He's a 18ppg carreer scorer. Its the only thing he knows how to do. We need him to quit trying to be a role player and to go out there and do what he does best. This team desperately needs it.

Amen! Francis is a tweener. Not a pure pt guard and not tall enough to be a SF. He scores and that's what he does. Just play the kinda ball you know how Steve.

Oh please. When Francis has another good game you'll just conveniently disappear again.

Amen to that. Rofflesaurus is the most negative Francis hater ever. It's been said many time before but I'm starting to believe that Francis possibly did boink your mother or something.

I was a Francis supporter but your statement here just supports the point that he has become a poor player.

When Francis has another good game...

Are we supposed to wait for him to have another individual good performance?

I would think we are looking for consistency from any rotation player, especially a PG, not just a good game here and there.

Honestly, Francis would need to have 4 or 5 good games at this point to make up for the putrid performances he has delivered recently.

I don't think you can jump up and start backing Francis again even if he has his best performance of the season next game.

Similarly, I don't think rofflesaurus would need to go into hiding if Francis has one solid game for the first time in weeks. The truth is that rofflesaurus was on point with his predictions about Francis even though I don't want to admit it. Believe me, I have strongly disagreed with this guy in the past but I will admit that he was right in this case.

Either way, the point is not to see which fans made accurate predictions about Steve Francis. The idea here is for the Rockets to become a winning team that is capable of doing damage in the post-season. Sadly, they are not even close to that level and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Rockets' Francis remains sore with bone bruise

Justice & McClain: Rockets fast start fades
After sitting out Saturday's Sacramento game with a bruised tailbone, Rockets guard Steve Francis was still feeling the effects in Monday's practice, but said he would get ready to go against Memphis on Wednesday.

"I feel a lot better," Francis said. "I practiced. I didn't finish practice, but I was able to get up and down the court. It was sore. I couldn't bend down. If I tried to touch my toes and stuff like that, I couldn't do it. But by Wednesday, I'll definitely be ready."

What was especially frustrating to Francis was having a breakout game in the win over Phoenix and getting injured early the next night at Golden State, which nullified any momentum.

"It was tough having it happen just when I was feeling good," he said. "I was excited. I wanted to build on that Phoenix game. And then back on the bench and I can't help.

"But the way I see it, I think I'm making steps. Hopefully, I can continue to try to contribute in any aspect, whatever it may be."

Not making excuses but Francis hasn't been the same since that Phoenix game. How long does it take for a tail bone bruise to heal? So I went digging and checked.

The prognosis for coccyx discomfort depends on many factors.
The original cause of the problem (whether from a fall or other trauma, tumor, or infection)
If traumatic, the severity of the injury (a bruise, fracture, or dislocation)
Your ability to comply with medical treatment
Your natural ability to recuperate and heal
The majority of cases of traumatic coccyx injury get better within several weeks of the injury with proper medical treatment.

Most people report between 3-6 weeks for recovery while some with dislocations and fracture said it never really got 100 percent better.

It's been nearly 3 weeks since that Phoenix game.
