I just thought of the free agents after this season and saw Smush Parker's name...Is he a good fit for the Rox? I've read somewhere that he's not getting along with Phil Jax...don't know if he's a headcase..
Allow me to redirect you to this thread. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=127054 In short, why would you trade a used bra with left strap missing for a used bra with right strap missing?
He is pretty much the same player as rafer, except he shoots less often. Neither one should be a starting pg on a championship caliber team
Yes, smush parker would actually be a great fit. he can hit the outside 3 whenever he's open so that automatically makes him 10x better than rafer. he's also a better scorer. id say hes a mini mike james but he looks for teammates better.
If you had Rafer and Smush open, who would you rather pass it to, defenitely Smush, because he will make it, and if hes shooting horrible, he is not going to shoot anymore.
parker isnt a real PG he's a scorer. he can hit open shots, penetrate, and finish around the rim, things rafer CANNOT do. smush is better than rafer and would be a much better fit.
Smush shoots the 3 ball the exact same percentage Rafer does. Smush also has a much better percentage inside 3 point rnage and can definitely finish at the basket better. he also takes a ton less shots which is a major plus. Both players defense sucks. But, the lakers are only paying $800,000 for Smush while the Rockets pay $4,200,000 for Skip. Nither of them are the solution for the rockets, but the lakers are getting more bang for their buck.
He had a good rookie year but he has reverted to his norm, a backup NBDL PG. No he won't solve the Rox PG problems. I think there will be serious interest in bringing Stevie back to Houston this off season.
Smush is way better than Rafer, he has never had a 1-6 game, or anything worse, the only time he shoots more than 6 3 pointers is when hes doing good. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/smush_parker/game_by_game_stats.html look
HECKKKKKK NO we are not bringing back steve "cancer" francis. heres a interesting stat. the knicks are .300 with francis playing, and .500 when he's not. rafer and smush are both better fits than steve francis. we wont bring him back.
