Smush Parker...yes Smushed Parker of all the people is angry for being benched.

Unbelievable!! The only player in the league who would give Rafer Alston a good run for the money in terms of being the worst starting PG in the league and he is actually complaining!!

He is lucky he wasn't benched for career after that pitiful performance in playoffs last year.

So I looked at stats for the two PGs for this season....

Absolutely similar 3 point shooting %!!
    Very similar steals #.
Rafer has better Assist # but Smush has better FG%.

    But here's the catch....

    Rafer Parker's 2007 salary: $4,200,000
    Smush Alston's salary: $798,112

ARGH!!!! Rafer makes almost 6 times as much as Smush for similarly pathetic performance!!!!

    At my house, no.

On the basketball court, yes. Lots of time unfortunately.

Yes I have, and they are both inept.

Also, are you saying that espn is lying about their stats?

Arguable, but they play nothing alike. Rafer can't finish around the rim. The only thing Smush can do is finish around the rim.

And thus the difference in 2 point FG % I mentioned.

Also, if that is the only thing Smush can do, AND since both player's 3 point % is EXACTLY similar, what does that say about Rafer?!?!

They shot the exact same from 3 point range too, and Smush shoots better from the field.

LOL! Good to have you back, ZBoy.

Well, Smush is yet to run out of the lockerroom in tears...so he's still ahead there.

average is the MLE which is 5.5 million. we are paying below average for a below average player. You get what you paid for.

But the Lakers are only paying 800,000 for their crap, we're paying 4,200,000. The lakers are getting more bang for their buck.

Right, because we all know how Smush is just as good as Rafer when it comes to controlling game tempo and setting up offense for teammates.

    Smush Parker APG: 2.7 A/TO: 1.4
    Rafer Alston: APG: 5.4 A/TO: 2.5

His better assist numbers were already mentioned.

Interesting how you conveniently left out the dead on similar 3 point fg%.

Even more interesting, how you swallowed Rafer's far inferior FG %.

    Rafer Parker is a genius!!

He can control the tempo but cant control layups!

While I Agree that rafer sucks, you all know full well Smush can't dribble for sh*t. If there's one thing Rafer can do, it's handle the rock.

I did a little research on that. I came up with this...

Even though both share one dad, Greg Anthony, some slight differences can occur..

Same Difference: Twins' gene regulation isn't identical

    Christen Brownlee

Although identical twins have identical DNA, they often harbor clear-cut differences: slight variations in appearance or stark distinctions in disease susceptibility, for example. Scientists have suggested that the interplay between nature and nurture could explain such differences, but the mechanism has been poorly understood.

A new study suggests that as identical twins go through life, environmental influences differently affect which genes are turned on and which are switched off.....

rafer and smush are FAR from twins. rafer is known for his ball handling while smush's ball handling is subpar. rafer is known for being a terrible shooter and finisher while smush can hit the outside shot and finish great around the rim. with that said, i wish we had smush.
