The Lack of Depth hurts but Free Agency and players want bloated contracts. The main problem with these 3 players that they are not 2 way players can't play defense (Harrell, Williams) Can't create Offense (Beverley) Looking back James Harden Role Players were always flawed. In defensive IQ I wish we had Goran Dragic, Kyle Lowry with James Harden James Harden did carry a huge burden offensively. Daryl Morey did get blackballed, after James Harden trade. No GM wanted to be swindled by Daryl. I think Daryl always wants to screw the other GM, GMs can get fired by dealing with Daryl. Paul also has said the trade to OKC made him change. We traded the pre-changed Paul not the one seen today. He laid down and cashed checks after signing his super maximum contract here. Paul didn’t do his part and was let go, and that shocked him into a change. Harden get blamed, but Paul didn’t help himself or the team after the signing. Harden career hits an historic high level making Paul’s play even more noticeable. That had to end and there was nothing we could do. Because of the size of the contract. It’s not like anyone will give 1/3 of the franchise for Paul —> Westbrook—> Wall. The Rockets have been trying to recover ever since. The Ryan Anderson signing took multiple seasons to recover from as well. Stone does have some luck going for him because Oladipo didn’t sign the extension when offered.
