I remember there was a plotline in Primary Colors about Jack Stanton/Bill Clinton cheating with a black female who later got pregnant, which I thought I might have later read about in Stephanopoulous' autobiography, All too Human (at least the part about him having a relative taking the blood test(?) for him). If my recollection is correct, then that would be reason enough for Hillary not to go after Obama on this "issue."

What many Americans don't realize is that Race plays a part in EVERYTHING. Race is a fundamental part of the human condition.

It is impossible to have a discussion about virtually ANY topic involving humans where Race didn't play at least a tiny role.

Race is like the weather. It's so fundamentally ingrained in our way of life that it is easy to completley overlook that the weather on earth litterally shapes how we do everything from building houses to when we run errands. The very house we live in (and how much we paid for it) is built to protect us from weather. The cost of your house determines where you live and obviously where you live affects your daily life, for example.

So for anybody to suggest that Race will not play a part in this election is somebody who cannot see the big picture.

Afterall, the only reason this thread was even started is to discuss Race. Therefore, we only needed one post to answer the question.

btw, there is no way to draw a line of where "racism" begins. Everybody will give you a different interpretation. So don't bother trying to make the distinction in a BBS thread.

Just ask an easy question: Will race play a role in this election? ...yes.

Racism has been reduced to stand up comedian fodder and taboo things white people say to each other when minorities aren't around.

Thank you Batman- there you go TRader Jorge-you are your own self fulfilling prophecy.

You bring up some window dressing that is irrelevant- some picture of some relation to a candidate. There are real issues out there.

It breaks my heart to see how race relations are in this country. Things are at critical mass and you bring up some drivel.....

ABB and anyone who was part of his administration.

I think it is time for the country to take a big left turn......the pendulum has to swing back and forth to keep this country great.

    Absolutely, it's alive and well.

Every day there is a cleverly disguised racist thread in the Hangout.
