The only problem I see with Yao on the high post is that everyone else is stagnant, waiting for something to happen. I don't think its his fault at all. Also right now his shots aren't falling. When they do then he'll be a monster.

This is off a recent article on the Chronicle. Not much to say about it, but I thought it was relevant to the discussion here.

I do get the feeling though that whatever system Adelman reportedly shelved may resurface once his big men get more used to passing.

A little off tangent, but I really like how flexible Adelman seems to be about things, how he's willing to mix and match and try things out during the game. He's thinking long term and it's going to pay off in a big way, IMO.

imo yao just needs to grow some balls. if he wants it down low, then he should just demand it down low, otherwise he needs to clear the lane for tmac. its really all up to him.

I thought this was the probelm when he was in the low post and when he's in the high post they become less stagnant since theres room to drive?

Rocket is not former King, which has better PF and PG. Offense should be initiated by the higher IQ PG, not the tallest slower center. Yao is much greater than Divac in the King. Why should coach compare yao with the worse divac? Yao definitely should stay in the low post as No 1 NBA center like Shaq without "P & R" and "moving back and forth from high post to low post", which will lead him tired and slow down him on both ends!!

I don't about that. Divac had low post game + high post. He was also a better flopper then okur so if you thought okur gave yao troubles I bet divac would be even worst. Divac was also the only one that could guard shaq during his prime and frustrate the hell out of him with his flopping. Kings also got out of the first round of the playoffs.

3 good things come out of high post
-better spacing for mcgrady and other cutters
-i think it positions yao for offensive rebounds
-i think it allows for rafer alston to kind of direct yao into the low post at certain opportune times in the game

But neither of his low/high post can be considered great, above average at best.
By softly denying the truth that Yao is a BETTER center than Divac has Yao hater written all over your face --- cut your first round exit crap, tell me about it, you dont know Tmac > Peja?

    pptttttttttt.

You are seriously asserting that Vlade Divac is a better player than Yao?

Can I have some of that stuff you're smoking?

Yeah, I'd agree that he has shelved some of his system the last two games. Yao was in the low post about 75% of the time and only occasionally came out to the elbow. I'm sure he noticed that Yao is not exactly effective at the elbow. Once Yao finds his shot again he'll be owning in the low post and then it will be a bad idea to pull him back out to the elbow. Chuck and Scola can pass from the high post decently well, have them do it instead.

Its amazing how you could still pull out some crap out of your puff head right after getting exposed being a hater.
Keep up the good work, Ive been enjoying pulling haters out of their holes too.

lol Does not admitting hes far greater then divac mean I think divac is better? Divac passes better, shoots outside better, and you can even argue about his defense being better(he invented the flop).

There are tens of attributes to rate the players. Are you really that stupid to imagine that Yao is better than Divac in every single attribute? Geeze, I can also say:

Manute Bol is taller than Shaq,
Okur shoots the 3 pointers better than Bill Russell,
Gheorghe Muresan is bigger than Wilt Chamberlain...etc.

Can you see how r****ded is the point you are making now? And the tactic to keep using name callings like YOF is weak. Are you trying to prove that you don't have enough intellectual ability to make a valid point without resorting to labeling? You are weak, man.
