I hear he's got T-Mac on the hook for a Cuban sandwich and a cafe con leche. Doesn't even affect the cap.

The food in Miami is some of the worst in the world. Outside of a few little enclaves, their entire food scene is garbage. I lived there for three years, including the year they won the NBA championship. Let's just say I am glad to be home in H-Town, where you can really get good food and watch a real basketball team with real fans.

Riley had absolutely nothing to do with this, I have no idea why he is getting credit. Not to mention he is a giant douche who only is willing to coach the heat when they are capable of winning, pathetic.

The guy that called in the anonymous tip on John Lucas and crew when his Showtime Lakers couldn't handle the Twin Towers? The guy who fired a good coach coach in Stan Van Gundy so he could get the credit for coaching Shaq and Wade? **** that guy.

My guess is this plays out the same way it did before. Spoelstra gets 1 year to win a championship, and if he doesn't then he's out as head coach.

I don't really think Riley had anything to do with recruiting the other guys besides D-Wade. D-wad recruited Bosh and then they both recruited Lebron clearly.

Wade, James, and Bosh planned this, so I don't give Riley too much credit. But, I do have to give him credit for recognizing that these 3 guys wanted to play together and clearing out enough cap room that they could do it in Miami. If New York cleared enough space for 3 max contracts, that trio could easily be the new Knicks. But, somehow, even though the Knicks have been sucking for years waiting for this moment, they didn't have the foresight, or perhaps the courage, to clear out the entire roster, like Miami has done. Riley outmaneuvered his old team.

This is an elaborate scheme. Wade was NEVER going to leave Miami. This was always going to be the teamup in Miami, no other city.

Wade is the boss here, Lebron and Bosh are just his boy toys.

Yeah, along with some other teams too. What TheRealist137 was saying is Riley had the foresight to demolish his team to get THREE max free agents while other teams cleared cap to get a miserly TWO is what makes Riley the superior GM. It makes Riley look like the Don of all GMs when in actuality he had little to do with anything because King Fame, Wade, and Piggy-Back all planed this out from the beginning.

Any team including the Minnesota Timberwolves would gut their roster in exchange for two and a half superstars. Its not like Riley made an excellent presentation to all of them in a meeting. He's lucky he has such a loyal follower in Dwayne Wade.

I think he's earned that loyalty from Wade by already having built a championship team around him (not to mention his previous track record for building contenders).

Well , loyalty speaks as much about the giver as the receiver.

But I give him credit for building that relationship with wade, there is a "human" factor in these trades that you cannot just factor into an equation.

What if NYK had cleared cap space to be able to sign 3 max guys and Miami hadn't. Obviously, for one, you wouldn't have the 3 hook up in Miami. Do you think Wade would have broke the Fellowship because he didn't want to leave Miami for New York? I'm skeptical of that claim.

    Yes he would have.

This trio is going to be EPIC in Miami.

This trio is going to be the Holy Trinity in New York.
