    All I know is that I was on the fence until he picked Palin. Pandering to the Christian Taliban was a show stopper for me.

    Palin was a hail mary pass. As with most hail mary passes, there is a moment of excitment - The possibilities of an incredible play when it's just left the quarterback's hand, the football is airborne and reached the peak of it's arc, and the impossible becomes possible. Wide receivers leaping in anticipation in the end zone.

    And then it gets intercepted and ran back for a touchdowngameover.

    Probably so; for right now, though, that's not important. The important thing is to hope Palin continues to believe they will so she'll keep stabbing the McCain campaign in the shoulder blades, trying to escape blame.

    I'm thinking Politics 101: Never talk about the next election. Never describe your current election as "for naught."
