It will most likely be (a Keifer Sutherland movie title) within a year of its release. It is that (a Michael Jackson album title). hehehe sorry but that's about the best I can do...
I think steam games run on your computer. These games run on remote machine and just stream input and output to your screen.
Sign up for a free year of service here. To clarify- I don't think this means free OnLive console, just the service to play via internet on your PC or Mac.
The 'console' is nothing but a PC interface for your TV but without a keyboard or mouse. I could see this thing mayyyybe working for grandparents or people who really like Peggle or Bejeweled. Otherwise, mega-flop.
Thanks for the clarification- I haven't kept up with it. To play the devil's advocate- I wouldn't rule it out. It would be cool to play some old-school games with a gamepad on my big TV.
I'm really curious how this is going to look - I think we'll be seeing mega lag when this thing goes live.
Isn't it 14.95 a month, plus the additional costs for games. It could be an interesting concept but I don't think they would hold a candle to the consoles yet. Until then I don't think there will be as much of a market.
What happens when internet companies start charging more for bandwidth? I think it is not going to work overall. DD

OnLive Streaming Game Service Tested (At Home, Finally!) http://gizmodo.com/5567770/onlive-streaming-game-service-tested-at-home-finally
I follow one of the big Call of Duty youtube commentators on twitter and he's had a pretty positive experience with OnLive. He tweeted the following:
Will the developers make versions of their games for it or will the console distributors pressure them from doing so, at least until they can make their own online thingies?
Biggest advantage to me would be buying and renting games that would ordinarily not go across platforms. Especially if you could rent games that don't take a long time to beat.
