    Repubs

"Fear, fear the black man with the foreign name"

    FEAR....FEAR....FEAR.........

Anyone else find it ironic that a guy who pulled himself up by his bootstraps, the American way, is labeled elitist, while the guy whose Daddy pulled strings his whole life to keep his son out of trouble is not?

    Irony....

Iran, Al-Qaeda, The Communists, and the college Professors have all gotten together to make Obama the most well funded candidate ever.

Their plan is coming together nicely. Only Jesse Jackson and a few others have discovered it.

Just as ironic as a man who got medals for bravery in Vietnam being labeled as less patriotic and having done less duty than a man whose father pulled strings to keep him out of Vietnam.

Same 'ol GOP strategy. I just hope America has come to its senses.

What a joke. When are real republicans going to stand up and say enough is enough? Rovian politics have stripped conservatives of their decency, and replaced their balls with a talking mouthpiece. So much of this **** is so blatantly false, so easily disputable. Most of the time I just have to imagine that many of the Republicans here are just putting on a show. But sometimes it seems obvious that they're not, and that they go to sleep every damn night just reveling in their ignorance, feeling justified in their irrational hate and fear. Just ****ing wake up and imagine you and your party being better than this. Wouldn't it mean something more to be supporting something you believe in rather than attacking something you don't? When did Republicans stop taking pride in being informed? When did it become a crime to want to be the best, to be the best, instead of just not being the worst?

What a waste. This thread, this forum, this election, these people, all of us. I'm definitely done posting in this ****hole until after Nov. 4th.

Of course! Not that anyone chose Iran from the drop-down menu, but the country of Iran was listed in the drop-down menu! Conspiracy!

Classic tactic made famous by TV News, especially the Faux News Network. Don't make a statement, ask a question. That's your headline.

Like "Did your Mom enjoy last night?" or "Have you stopped beating your wife?"

What?! I'm just asking a question!

the simple fact is until the nuts who believe the wing nut stuff are out there the tatcis will be played. the core problem is that the nuts believe the wingnuts have a hold on the truth. they believe this because they've been convinced by the wingnuts that the liberal media is either lying or ignorant of the truth that is out there

    1. Anecdotally, i know several people who have given a few $25 checks or a $100 or so to Obama.

    2. There seems to be some confusion in the article in whether Obama is willing to release the names or not. That the reports have to mention donors of $200 or more is not compelling evidence that the campaign is sitting on the names of those below $200.

    3. My wife has given $75 to Obama. How come she's in some of the databases? If you look at this one, there are lots of Obama donors listed who come in under $200. http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/ Where did that info come from if not the Obama campaign?

    4. Federal law requires campaigns to identify those giving $200 or more in reports. It does not say you don't have to identify those giving less, just that you don't have to report. The article clearly gives the impression that the Obama campaign does not know or is unwilling to identify those under $200. Yet if this is the case, how would they identify those individuals when they cross the $200 barrier? How would you cash checks from unknowns? Of course they have names and addresses of most of their donors.

    5. All this suggests that the Obama campaign is not hiding anything. Indeed, the very source mentioned as an authority in the article, The Center for Responsive Politics (CRP) has a website called www.opensecrets.org where they provide campaign donor information. They rank Obama at 92.4% for full disclosure using the following methodology:

So, while that number is based on those who gave $200 or more, notice that the disclosure level relates to occupation/employer, not name.

There's nothing on the CRP website that says Obama has refused to list all his small donors. It is simply that they only use the info from the reports that identify donors of $200 or more. So, because donors of less than $200 are not covered on the CRP site, the author comes to the conclusion that the Obama campaign is keeping them secret.

    6. I can't find any database that lists any McCain contributors under $200. So, either they are not completely open, which would make the author wrong... or every Repub in the country gives more than $200, which of course the campaign would be required to report and which would make the author's point moot.

As Stewart puts it, "Fox has figured out that by simply putting a question mark at the end of something, you can say f**king anything. Like, is your mother a w****? What, I'm just asking."
