The perception of NPR is that they are left leaning and in terms of what stories they report on their is some evidence to that. When it comes to commentators and guest they go to pains to bring in both sides of an issue. They have often had very conservative commentators such as Denash DeSouza and David Horowitz on in addition to liberal commentators.
Their sports coverage sucks. I mean....reeeaaaallllly sucks. I can somewhat understand not giving the NHL it's rightful lead, but they don't even pass on MLB and NBA scores on a timely basis. Pinkos.
Yeah don't go to NPR for sports but they do occassionally have some interesting sports related stories such as a few months ago they had a story on the guy who throws peanuts at Minute Maid.
I'm going to have to go Batman Jones on you Jadoka if you're defending their sports coverage with the story on peanut guy.
BRING IT! Because he's the hero Houston deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A peanut guy.
Frank deFord (sp) is very, very hard to listen to. He thinks he's the poet laureate of American sports, but he just stinks to high heaven.
