Webber is a better player now because of his inside game- all this has been stated previous, but the upside for Nowitski is much greater- he presents hellish matchup problems. He is a very consistent shooter with very good athletic ability.

I probably cannot be objective about this because I do not like Webber- though he has developed a good game. He has been trouble wherever he went until Sacramento- he is such a primadonna- I'm glad we did not pursue his $ max contract.

    I agree with TBar

    Who agreed with Finalsbound,

    Who agreed with Freak,

    Who agreed with Hoop T,

    Who agreed with Rudie,

    Who agreed with Wrath,

    Who agreed with KidRock

I can assure you this is the first time, and will be the last time :D, I agree with this particular set of folks.

But by next year I think Dirk might be better. Dirk still has ways he is rounding out his game and I think Webber might be starting his decline from where he was 1-2 years ago.

Where exactly do you get this idea that Webber plays no D? For the past three seasons he has been in the top 20 in blocked shots and top 10 in rebounds. Actually he was the league leader in rebounds for the 98-99 season. While he may not be a phenomenal defender, the fact is he does play some pretty decent D. He has been hampered by injuries this season, but a healthy Webber is a much better defender than a healthy Dirk, who should really be a better for his size.

i think a big difference is that nowitzki doesn't have the passing ability webber has. webber is a phenomenal passer. i'm on the side that thinks webber just doesn't have that something to lead a team to the championship. he has all the talent in the world but not the mentality. right now he is better than dirk, but i can easily see nowitzki as a top 5 player next year, maybe he is now.

i think dirk is even with webber. Weber can pass better, but Nowitzki has a great 3 pointer. the both can dribble the ball. and rebound. and i think there defense is alspo even. so there even, but Nowitzki will be better in a year or so.

    nice desert scar:D
