so i checked and spoon's salary next year is 6.353M. that may be close to what a swift contract should start at. comes out to 6 yr/$50M. of course after mullin gave foyle the same damn contract that may mess everything up. but i still think that's reasonable for a guy like swift. not sure how bad memphis wants to hang on to spoon for a year but i would think a first round pick would be nice.

i think the best scenario would be for the rockets to keep playing better this season and/or the next season and they will be able to pick up a PF around tmac/yaos age for the MLE.

they just need to have houston be as attaractive as possible. then u need to pick up a PG that can pass, and thats it doesnt even need good defense.

then a couple of decent spot up shooters off the bench and you have a great team.

The "Stro Show" is on ESPN highlights almost everytime the Grizzlies play. He will get big money next season. I'm thinking between 7-9 million per year.

I think his market value is around 7-9 Million. That's the type of money guys like Foyle, Okur, Camby, Boozer got last offseason. Those Bigs set the market for Stromile. But I think the only way he can get that amount is to work with the Grizz in a S&T as the teams with cap room probably will look at other areas before looking at Stro.

I am hoping the Rockets can convince him to come here for the MLE...but I still think that would be a longshot.

THAT I haven't seen. This is all speculation; we'd have to put together a deal of some sort. Don't see it happening.

He DOES always play well against us. To show up Yao? Probably. To get a big paycheck next year? Of course. Auditioning for us? Who knows.
