Is Morey the first GM to apply statistical analysis?

Why does this frighten you? How do you think that they can find the Brooks, Landry and Parson's of the world.

Despite what is popular to post in CF.net, the Rockets are one of the best teams in the league as far as managing the draft.

What specifically do you think that the Rockets have done wrong in the draft? Sure, every year fans want the team to take a certain guy but realistically what have they blown? Not drafting Leonard?

Is the primary complaint that we didn't draft a guy who went in the 2nd round? The Rockets are incompetent because we didn't take a guy in the 1st round when every other team passed on him too?

Every year there's people upset because we didn't draft the McRoberts or Big Babys of the world. There were even people on this board upset because we didn't take Hassan Whiteside with a lottery pick. Sure, there's going to be guys that slip to the 2nd round that nobody thought would pan out the way they did. That happens in every sport and the fact that those guys are in the 2nd round certainly isn't soley due to the Rockets.

What are you specific complaints about the way that we have drafted? Didn't reach for a center? Didn't draft a superstar with the 14th pick? You've got the advantage of 20/20 hindsight, so what would you have done?

As much as I loved Adelman and as skeptical as I am about McHale... The Players make good/great coaches IMHO... Spoelstra being the most recent case...
