he had a really good game against GS earlier in the season.......maybe pringles gives him a few minutes?
Numbers don't lie - but people do. And the way in which you've used these statistics is at least a little dishonest. I think you're being playful here, but just in case you aren't: Sam Dekker has attempted 180 three pointers this season. Montrezl has attempted 3 three pointers this year. It is very obviously difficult to sustain a high shooting percentage if you shoot in large volume, but a large sample size at least gives you a fairly accurate idea of their shooting ability. Whereas when you only attempt three shots it can very well be a fluke. Or it could be that you're only shooting when circumstances are most optimal, giving you a better chance of success. Whatever the case, these shooting percentages aren't very comparable. Montrezl should be in the gym shooting threes day in and day out. If he could be relied on to hit them at even his current 33% clip he will have a great future in the NBA. He could be Draymond like.
If Harrell was given a chance to jack up as many threes Dekker does, the % would not be that much far off. Even last year they literally shot the same from 3 in the D-League. Rookie Year I know. Small sample size for both (12 vs 7 games)
Right now we are tuning up our roster for the playoffs. This means our rotation is pretty much set to: - Harden - Beverley - Ariza - Anderson - Capela - Ego - Williams - Nene With Dekker playing 3/4 if needed. Trez will not sniff any minutes unless: - Nene or Capela are in foul trouble or God forbid, one of them gets hurt - We completely blown out the team with 5 minutes left - We are in desperate need of an adrenaline boost to get us going That said, last night was stupid. Harden's drive where he fell on his wrist was stupid. Him playing when the game was completely out of reach was stupid. We need to never do that again... like ever.
