Cuttino has a lightening first step and a penchant for game winners. Shandon plays ferocios D and hustles his ass off. Thats about all I know about these guys, certainly not enough to make a judgement about their class. I guess neither of them has been caught with drugs, picked up for DUI or arrested for wife beating, so that must count for something in this day and age. heypartner I'll pass on the beer and cheetos. I've just poored my third (maybe its my fifth, i can't remember) JD & coke. Mmmmm, that soft clink of ice, slight fiz, that sweet taste as...., sorry, getting carried away. ------------------ Current Rocket's Salary & Contract Info
Azim, That is kind of how it happened, but Steve did have Hakeem on tape saying his leg was hurt, whether it was or not. That is the reason the union did not file a grievence on Hakeem's part for the suspension. I am sure they were both wrong, and I am glad they got it worked out. DaDakota ------------------
Heypard, I totally understand where your coming from. I wasn't aware that Hakeem had promised her to marry if she became pregnant, nor was I aware that it was he who persuaded her to have a baby. If thats the case, then yes he was a jerk in that particular situation, but I think it should be noted he has been a great father and he and Lita still share the wondrous joy of the baby they produced together. There's no point of getting into a pyschoanalysis of Dream in his early years, but I'm still wary of the idea that he was a heartless, ruthless jerk. Immature and irresponsible for sure, but I'm sure there's a lot of information that neither of us know that played an impact on the situation. (btw, what did that last comment you made, mean exactly? Do you know her personally?)Please know that I am not condoning what he did by any means whatsoever, he made a big mistake and has learned from them to improve himself as a person, but I find it hard to believe any man can transform from a jerk to a saint in such little time. Azim da Dream ------------------ We don't live for the destination. We live for the journey.
Azim, in my book, if you ask your girlfriend to get pregnant, then change your intentions right before birth, you are a jerk. Sure, that's my opinion, and you have yours. No amount of waffling by saying "our relationship changed" gets around the fact he reneged on a promise to a very bright girl in law school. I can't imagine telling my girlfriend to get pregnant and not following through with marraige, especially when it seriously effects her career. I know every one of her friends would call me a jerk. Hey, Lita doesn't have an autobiography, but I think I know her side a little bit better than what you got from that book.
Actually, i thought that story is kind of funny in a mean way. Sounds like Dream was just your regular college man back in the day. ------------------ I'm not clumsy, I just have to know my surroundings.
Azim....didn't know her personally, but my sister did while she was dating Akeem. And several other of my Rice friends. Anyhow, you are right. He more than made up for it. Lita says so. His daughter loves him. And he now is raising a family in a way that makes him happy. moral of the story: don't be too hard on 25 yr olds. Everyone gets to make mistakes. Then you get to chance to learn from them and .... [trite, mushy talk follows]. I think I'm going to go back and look at Cato's new appearance, again, before going to bed.
