Is Michael Vick Setting a Bad Precedent for the NFL?

"Screwed up" is being awfully generous. Running a red light, maybe getting behind the wheel after having one too many would be screwing up. Look at some of the images posted by JayZ -- I have a hard time describing that as "screwing up".

 

I bet he can fine worse pictures from Proctor and Gamble. . . Johnson and Johnson and other companies that test on Animals. *shrug*

I guess it is ok if BIG CORP is doing it.

who cares, he's in the league, he did his time and the fans love him. if you feel he doesn't deserve a second chance or the opportuninty of NFL stardom again, you're in the minority and I'm glad.

Oh, please, I've been on this board for the past several years (under a different name)- he's made no secret on his position on issues that deal with race. Not that I have a real problem with it- Lord knows, racism still exists, it's just a lot more subtle- just the other day, unbelievable- I'm at the gas station, the attendant is giving back change to people in their hand- African-American gentleman is in front of me- and the attendant puts his change on the counter rather than in his hand- can you believe that crap? Sick.

Vick's thing is beyond race- if he were white, I would be just as outraged, believe me. I volunteer many, many hours at a local animal shelter- again, it's just a personal thing for me- I'm completely biased. What else should have been done? Hmm, electric cattle prod treatment on him? Body slam? Nah, can't do eye for an eye. 15-year ban from football.

Oh, and what's a meme? Is that like the cloud? :grin:

Dude loved his dogs...the ones that performed ...whats wrong with that?...Give the man a break ...Let him have a collie or something...But he shouldnt have said it to the media...wrong thing to do...Im sure Dungy rollin over in his grave..lol

 

Thats true...Im not an animal lover at all but I do sympathize with people that are to some degree...Some of yall treat these dogs better than you treat your kids..so for me it wasnt a big deal Vick did those things, but I can have a lil sympathy for those that are dog owners...somewhat
