As I've mentioned before, I am willing to compromise and be forgiving in a lot of areas. Except this.

If Michael Vick was ever signed by the Texans, I would cease to be a Texans fan until they got rid of him. This is the one area in which I will not and will never compromise. Go ahead and throw all your arguments and justifications at me. Anything short of banning him from football is unacceptable to me.

I mean, are we that desensitized to accept what he did as just a minor transgression? Do you all realize the sick, heinous things he did???

F**k that piece of s**t Vick. He's a disgusting human being who should have been banned for life from football- and he deserves to have his a** beaten thoroughly so he can feel 1/10,000 of the pain his victims (yes, they're victims) suffered. This is not hyperbole- anyone as twisted as him, who did the sick things he did- he's not gonna change.

If this makes me a bleeding heart hypocrite, awesome! I would gladly take that label for the right to say exactly how I feel about Mr. Vick.

when i was younger, i thought in absolutes like you seem to. when i grew up, i began to see my own shortcomings better...and realized the world isn't broken up into good/evil people...we all have a bit of both working in us. i'm not going to condemn someone who serves his time and seeks forgiveness...because if i screw up, i sure hope someone treats me the same way.

I don't know the man, personally. I can only go by what he's done and what he's saying. He screwed up and it seems like he's seeking forgiveness and to be a different person. I like to give people in that boat the benefit of the doubt.

Look, it's just a personal thing for me as far as the hatred and bias. For some, it's the Utah Jazz. For some, it's Republicans or Democrats. For me, it's animal-child abuse. I do not compromise in those areas and I am admittedly biased- and not very fair. And I take back what I said to Lil Pun- if I were someone else reading my posts, I'd probably call me an idiot, too. Like I said, I will gladly accept the insults, shouts of "you're being unfair," etc. for the right to speak my mind about Mr. Vick and the likes of him.

 

Michael Vick, to me, is the equivalent of how some people feel about the Utah Jazz. Bias, hatred, disgust, etc. I am admittedly very angry about this whole situation- and I do pride myself on being open-minded- I mean, I actually give the Dallas Mavericks respect, believe it or not (God, I think I just threw up in my mouth after saying that)- but I can't- I just can't forgive what he did. Not now, anyway- probably not ever.

Like I said, you have every right to call me an idiot- I am an idiot, a partisan, a bleeding heart, etc. when it comes to animal rights.
