Cutler seems to have regressed big time though.

Sure his WR corps aren't as solid as it was in Denver, but he has a big time target in Greg Olsen who he can't seem to get the rock to. Devin Hester and Johnny Knox had their men beat Sunday Night and he just made ****ty throw after ****ty throw.

He leads the NFL with 18 interceptions. He's just a mess right now.

Saying Jamarcus Russell is a bad QB is not an insult to me. Russell / McFadden / Heyward-Bey might just well turn out to be the worst attempt at building an offense in the history of the NFL.

Al Davis insults the good fans of his football team by continuing to breathe.

In no way did I diminish what VY did in college. My post speaks directly to the idea that he's a better pro quarterback than Matt Schaub, which he's not.

However, the defensiveness that led you to project that idea onto my post for no reason illustrates my post pretty well.

And "changed Texas football" is a little dramatic, don't you think? He was an amazing college football player. But the only reason this unreasonable worship of him is in place is because HE'S FROM TEXAS.

Tim Tebow has had a MUCH... MUCH better college career than Vince Young. First player to ever throw 20 TD passes and run for 20 TDs in the same season. Two National Championships, one Heisman Trophy and in the running for another. He went to high school in Florida, then went to a Florida college and is putting up possibly the best college football career ever.

And if you grew up in Gainesville, you'd have HIS knob in your mouth instead of Vince's. God forbid if Tebow ends up on some team someday that plays the Dolphins, while having the league's leading rusher and a kicker that can make clutch kicks like he's supposed to, because then everyone in Florida will have to put up with the same kind of nonsense that people have to put up with concerning Vince here. THAT... is the point.

Vince Young Nation needs to get some friggin' perspective.

Obviously, telling that to a Longhorn fan.... I understand is a pointless endeavour. But I'm still gonna say it.

    no you twit,

because Schaub has put this team in position to win/extend games on many occasion. See 1 yard line V. Jags, see also one yard line V. Cards. Do I need to reference K. Brown again?

    it's a team sport.

Schaub's win/loss stats are about as meaningful as Aaron Brooks win/loss stats. The Texans are 5-5. End of story.

it's not an official stat, the only people who reference it are idiots who watch football through a vacuum.

why aren't you giving Schaub any credit for the 5 wins he has this season?

when the texans win, I guess it's a team win, but the losses belong to schaub. duh.

Give the wins to Andre I spose?

CometsWin is DD's alternate account. Im convinced, there is no way two people are this narrow minded who try to pass off weak attempts, at convincing "football analysis", there's just no way...

I can't believe that there are some people who think Schaub is some sort of problem for this team. All those years of David Freakin' Carr should have taught some of you what bad QB play actually is.

IN any case, as far as being 'clutch', all I know is that Schaub has driven this team downfield at multiple crucial points in games to put us in position to win or tie. Sometimes he has made mistakes on those drives. But we have also enjoyed:

his RBs fumble at or near the goal line
penalties on his WRs take away TDs
    or
his K miss game tying field goals as time expires in two seperate divison games

So while he may not be Brady, Manning or Brees, his play hasn't been far behind. Anyone who thinks Schaub is a big part of the 'problem' with this team hasn't been paying attention.

You calling anyone a twit is so pot/kettle. Team records are attributed to QB's because they're far and away the most important positions on the field. It's just reality, crying about it because it doesn't fit your agenda doesn't make it any less real.

I think if your constantly being questioned in your theory by numerous people you are probably wrong. Im pretty sure not too many people respect your football knowledge/input

and you referring to the pot/kettle smack is nothing short of ludacris. it's all good though, even when nobody here agrees with your moronic assertions, hold your ground, after all, it's not you that is wrong, it's the other 35k.

Why do so many people on here insist that the QB position is the end-all-be-all of a football team?

It must be because this is a basketball BBS and that is one of the only sports where one player can literally take a team from the lottery to the championship.

I'm pretty sure I'm on the verge of putting you on ignore for posting worthless drivel so you can't stop addressing me. In fact if you think calling people names and insulting them over and over again, like some teenage BBS cheerleader, rather than addressing the substance of their posts amounts to anything anyone is going to continue to wasting their time responding to then you're deluding yourself.

CometsWin...Your opinion on this matter is obviously in the minority. Yes, the QB is important, but so are all the other components of a team. Ask Trent Dilfer or Rex Grossman...theyll tell you that they got where they got because of their teams defenses.

oh noes! not the dreaded ignore!

substance has been thrown in your face...fool.

as a suprise to nobody here, you continue to ignore substance and flake out on fluffy superficial football stats.

in laymens terms(which is obviously all you can intrepret)....YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE F U C K YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

It's not all good, the day anyone feels the need to cave into a bunch of r****ded Rex Grossman proves me right nonsense then it's a sad day. Three posters on a message board now equal thirty five thousand opinions. When you've failed as a debater, claim the numbers are on your side. That's a brilliant tactic. You're soooo ludacris errr... ludicrous.

Haha go for it. Im sure Im not the only one that feels the same way about you. Ive addressed your posts and youve responded with these smart ass remarks like "thanks for playing" as if your the end all of football knowledge. If you dont want to be called out then dont be the one to start with arrogant comments like that
