It's for the best that plain idiocy be ignored.

I encourage the subforum to avoid any replies regarding it.

DD, the national media, ESPN, CBS Sportsline, NFL Network...theyve all been putting Schaub in the category with Manning, Brees, and Brady. Read every article and youll see the comparisons to the greats in the league.

Not sure what youve been watching this year, but Matt has been phenomenal...and at the very least, a top 10 QB.

DD's version of "watching football" is taping a photoshopped naked picture of Vince Young to his TV

maybe this sunday we should just let schaub and manning go to chuck e cheese and give the win to whoever wins a round of qb pass attack...

clearly the other 52 players are irrelevant.

Clearly the quarterback is the most important position on the field by far. That's why wins and losses are attributed as a QB stat rather than a kicker stat. Now go find another thread to post a not very funny quip and run away.

    LOL

    That would be pretty epic.

More epic than Peyton Manning and Justin Timberlake playing Ping-Pong, even.

You're right..by this theory Rex Grossman was a great clutch quarterback because his team made it to the Super Bowl. I wish we had that stud on our team, oh wait we do. Man I wish he was playing over Matt Schaub, oh the possibilities....

    DaDa

I finally figured it out who Schaub reminds me of
    GREAT STATS but cannot win the Big one. . . . . . . .

DREW BLEDSOE!!!! All world Stats but just could not get it done
No one will say he was a bad QB . . I mean look at his stats . . .

Tom Brady with essentially the same cast takes them further

I remember how they Slobbed over Drew Bledsoe too.
When he went down . .they KNEW New England was done
He went to Dallas. . .Hail the conquering hero
    then
    he loses out to ROMO

If you lock RR and DD in a room together a black hole will eventually develop from all the circular logic.

ESPN and NFL network are television stations...same with CBS and Fox. These stations typically have NFL analysts. Listen to them talk, there is no link. If you havent seen the national media sucking on Schaub's knob, then you havent been watching any television. Although, a USA today article came out that mentioned how great Schaub has been playing this year...they wouldnt be writing that if he was a mediocre QB.

And you know whats funny, the faults you find in Schaub...if you dissected every QB in the NFL, other than Brady/Manning/Brees, you would find just as many faults with them.

See thats the thing, I dont think he watches that much NFL stuff nor do I think he watches FULL texans games. But yet he feels the need to constantly express his narrow minded opinion, which is always on repeat. I think he just likes living up to his moniker of being Debbie Downer

    Here you go:

    LINK

"Most fans think of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, Saints quarterback Drew Brees or Vikings quarterback Brett Favre when they discuss who's best among the NFL signal callers.

In the midst of all the big names, Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has quietly put up big numbers to align himself with the league's best."

Another Story which was posted in early November.

"The names, Manning and Brady and Favre, simply roll off the tongue. They are the triumvirate of current sure-fire Hall of Famers, and all of them are having great seasons. So who leads the NFL in passing yards so far this year? Can you guess?"

Just in case you're not convinced so here goes another

"I believe after this season people will consider Matt Schaub a top 10 quarterback."

I found these Dada by typing Schaub one of the best in the search field. I'm sure there some others similar ones out there.

i see where this is going......

oh, wait - i TOTALLY thought you were going to say peyton manning... cause that's EXACTLY what people thought of him prior to 2007..........

in light of that, why don't we let schaub's career play out before we start hanging a loser tag on him. do you realize schaub just made his 34th start last night (32nd with the texans)? that's the equivalent of just two full seasons. he likely has a lot of games left to make his mark.

    On a side note DD:

I think Vince Young is OK, he is slightly below average at best. Right now I would put him as a top 25-30 quarterback.

(Any attempt to disprove my VY analysis, whether it be statistical or opinion laced will be ignored. I will reiterate my in depth analyzation of Vince repeatedly throughout this message board and especially this thread. If for some reason I fail to do so on a day to day basis, you can count on it being made conveniently after every Titans loss. I will probably reuse the same words and just rearrange them in a different order to give the illusion I know what I'm talking about, despite the fact I will say the same thing over and over again).
