But you're biased because you wanted them to get Vince Young. Nothing wrong with liking VY, I just think he will be a mediocre QB for a long time. A good game here and there, followed by an 11.9 QB rating in big games. I'm looking at VY objectively since I'm not a fan.
YOU.ARE.THE.LEAST.OBJECTIVE.PERSON.IN.THIS.THREAD We use examples and evidence, you don't bring jack to the table... other than a giant pre-existing bias against Matt because he *ISN'T* Vince Young.
One of the funniest posts in this thread is when DD wants to bet LL about who is going to have the better career between Schaub and VY. VY has 32 touchdowns for his career. Matt had 29 this season. Schaub has 4000 + more passing yards than VY in less starts.
Wait, he now brings this to the table. I think that symbolizes a white flag that he's putting up as if to say "I know nothing about football, but I feel the need to always butt into football conversations because no matter how dumb and irrational I sound, the smiley face covers my back!"
there was a post by someone that i can't remember who said something to the likes of, "If I a choice between a QB that can make plays with his legs as opposed to his arms, I'd take him everytime." i don't think it was DD or if it was in this thread, but that was about as asinine as one can get.
To be really fair, put up the number of takeaways each QB's defense has in that span, and the amount of rushing yards each team has gained in the starts. Just so that when DD eventually comes to the W/L record, it can have a little perspective.
Schaub brought the Texans down the the field 5 times going for the tying score late but the Texans lost. 2 missed field goals, 2 one yard line fails by the running back and a halfback pass. Matt was clutch to get them in position those 5 times, other players failed, not Matt.
Clutch people....CLUTCH.....that is what we are looking for here. Matt Schaub had a very good year.....lots of yards.......but so many times he just nuts up... Sorry that your guys favorite QB is not on my top 12..... I know the Texans fans on here can't believe anyone else would say this...so......how about this thread where I asked the question is Matt Schaub clutch on another forum.....not one....NOT ONE person said he was..... Thread on an impartial forum So, outside of the fishbowl of Texans fans on here, people not invested in him have a different opinion, apparently. Feel free to keep throwing insults instead of acknowledging others have a different opinion. DD
Sorry but a forum based on a team that is in the heart of Longhorns country isn't exactly impartial. Show me links on a Detroit forum or a Seattle forum and it might hold a bit more merit.
LOL @ He's not in your top 12 QB in the league. Who the hell do you have in your top 12. I'd like to laugh at this list. Please do post.
Hahahahah...wow an "impartial" Spurs forum? Wow let's poll an "impartial" Red Sox forum if they think Schaub is clutch too? Do you really think they watch the games? Do you watch the games? And how many responses did you get...8? The Texans get very little national attention and when they do guess what, Schaub is getting props for being the MVP of games. How bout you watch ESPN, NFL Live every once and awhile and stop trolling random cities forums. There have been NUMEROUS examples of Schaub clutch drives and you just ignore them but instead say "Schaub makes too many mistakes". Yea after leading a Texans team back from an improbable comeback against the Cardinals he threw a pick 6, and made an errant throw in the end zone, BAD (I'm not even going to mention he still lead us back to a position to tie the game) but what else you got against him? By the way: by posting a link to another forum where your post count is in the thousands just proves your trolling tendencies Vince Young is below average by the way.....in skills of course, because if I would have said he is below average in the looks department, then you really might get mad
i think it's pretty unfair to base an opinion of a player from other forums and fan bases who don't regularly watch that player and team. rockets fans deem players like lowry and budinger valuable to this team while other fan bases never even heard of him.
A couple things here...what's with the name calling on DD? I don't agree with his opinion on schaub, but no reason to start with the name calling. Having said that, had schaubs teammates come through, he could have easily engineered at least 3 game winning/tying drives. In a 16 game season, that's pure clutchness. As for DD posting the question on another message board...I think many or most of them haven't watched anything other than highlights. Had they seen the 5 drives and how he led his team downfield for a chance at victory, their opinions would differ. I know what the public opinion is outside of Houston...I have plenty of friends in different cities. But, that doesn't mean they necessarily know what they're talking about. They just see final scores...without the playoff experience, that just makes him a good fantasy qb. Wait until next years playoff run...he'll all of a sudden be "clutch".
The second person to respond's name is "LOL TEXANS (Crap > Texans)". You did a great job with your impartiality - ask a bunch of fans who most likely root for one of our biggest and historic rivals - the Cowboys. You really are clueless, huh?
Can someone refresh me on DDs love for VY and Texas ? Why is he even a fan of them ? Did he go to college there ? Was he Born in Austin ? Did he watch VY back in high school in Houston ? If no to the above question i'm confused how he became a Texas fan.
YOu stated your opinion at the begining of the poll, which will certainly skew it. And how can you judge him when you don't watch him play? also, why does anyone care what DD has to say when it comes to football? It is a fact that he is clueless, no one takes him seriously, no one should care what he has to say anymore
I think people, such as myself, like to discredit a guy with SO MANY posts and would like for him to ONCE just ONCE admit that he's either: a) Wrong b) Has no idea what he's talking about But asking for something like this to happen is like asking a gay guy NOT to order a hotdog at a hamburger joint
LOL at asking this question on a SPURS BASKETBALL forum. Do the even watch the NFL? How many Texans games have they watched? I guess all of our opinions on the Rockets are innacurate, since we are biased.
