    what more do you want?

Statistically, the only better are Manning, Brees, and Brady

So what you are saying is, if he is not a certain Hall of Famer, he is garbage.

like everyone else has said, I am certain you do not watch them play.

Yeah, saying I don't watch is weak sauce, I just have higher standards of QB play, and what is and isn't clutch, I guess.

Also, stats? Really STATS? Players on bad teams trying to always come from behind by throwing the ball are going to have better STATS. While they are important, I look for leadership also, the ability to make his team better, I don't see it in Schaub.

I am not saying he will never get there, he might, but right now, to me, he isn't.....

And his flaws, rag arm, slow feet, holding ball too long...are very apparent.

Oh well......as I said I started a thread on another forum that was not in Houston to see if I was right about what NFL fans think of him that are not fanboys of the team.

And.....I will post the results here soon enough.

I think there is some truth in this. . .
Kubiak treats him like Carr sometimes

It is kind of hilarious that DD accuses us of bias when he's obviously the least impartial poster on this topic.

Comparing Schaub to David Carr? LMAO.

His hatred for the Texans, love of the Titans, and crush on Vince Young are about as transparent as can possibly be.

We could trade for Peyton Manning and he'd start dogging him at this point.

It is not weak sauce when your "opinion" makes absolutely no sense.

I will continue to think you do not watch football.

Great, I will continue to think you are satisfied with mediocrity, and don't know what Clutch QB play looks like.

David Carr has lowered the Houston Texan's fans standards.

But hey 8-8 again with all those first round picks on the roster, yeah..go baby !!!!

This team has so many problems that have nothing to do with the quarterback, yet you are completely blind. I think having no capable interior lineman, no running game, a secondary that couldn't cover my grandmother, a defensive line that can't put pressure on the quarterback, and a kicker who continues to miss easy game changing field goals are much more dire concerns than a quarterback who is 4th in the NFL in passing yards, 6th in TDS and has a rating of close to 100

The evidence has slapped you in the face repeatedly.

You are the most myopic, biased person there ever was on this topic.

If you're not interested in the Texans, then why the hell do you insist on continuing this charade?

A Titans BBS could use a guy like you. Maybe you can go there and lay off of clutch's bandwidth for a while. :p

Wah wah wah......myopic people calling others with a difference of opinion, myopic...that is rich....

In the other forum they compare Schaub to Tony Romo, another QB who chokes in the Clutch.

Pretty fair comparison, but I think Romo is better.

There is no doubt, I agree with a lot of that, and some of the "Clutchness" of the QB's reputation can be helped or hindered by his teamates play. Kris Brown has hurt a lot this year, as arguably they could have a much better record.

    The entire team is "UnClutch"........

And I still find it incredibly ironic that we are arguing this on "CLUTCHFANS" where the standard for what is Clutch and what isn't was set....and people still think that Schaub is Clutch....

At the very baseline level, if the team is not clutch, the QB can't be considered to be Clutch either....no one calls Archie Manning Clutch, but he was better than Schaub.

    No DD.

    I completely get it.

And, per usual, its another stupid, malformed opinion of yours that has no basis in reality.

Have you seen anyone comparing Schaub to Carr... since MAYBE 2007?

No callers on the radio here do it. No one on the BBS does it. So wtf are you talking about?

You want to know who we compare Schaub to? P. Manning, D. Brees, T. Brady. Pretty different company than "David Carr".

    "Wahhh wahhh." ?

Stop being such a narrowminded, petulant little child.

Sometimes I wonder if it is really a fully grown man making these posts of yours.

How is it, that if you "Get it" you miss the point entirely, it is not comparing them to each other, it is saying because Carr was SOOOO bad, Schaub looks bettter than he really is....

And...Donny.....stop being such a blinded by mediocrity fan boy and take a real hard look at what is and isn't good football.

Hey, Donny Myopia, your team will probably win today against the powerful Seahawks.......

Raise your standards Houston fan, you deserve better......

    LMAO.

    Wow.

I hope you cannot be this stupid.

It's called "relativity". And yes, DD, I knew that is what you were talking about.

Like I said, no one is doing that though. No one is running around comparing Schaub to Carr in any way. No one is saying "Wow Schaub is a god next to David Carr!". No one thinks the bar is set low and that is why Matt is seen differently. The bar is set high. How high? They're comparing him and his performance to the elite quarterbacks in the NFL, because that is the level he plays near. You're pulling this crap out of thin air (or as other posters like to say, "your ass"). You have no argument. You have no evidence. And I'm not surprised you don't.

    The Texans play mediocre football.

    Matt Schaub plays good football.

If you really want to start a poll, start a "who has a better/more informed opinion about the Texans; Donny or DD?" Poll. That would be quite the riot.

I get it Donny, I get it, I feel sorry for the Texans fans, they deserve better, and apparently don't even know it.

    Sad.

Yeah, and you say you know football...ROFLMAO...SHEESH !

    The two are related.....

if none of your other ignorant posts do not nail the coffin closed on your validity in this argument....

this one should take the cake.

stats are meaningless to you....but you started a THREAD IN A FORUM TO SEE IF YOU'RE "RIGHT"????

    HAHAHAHA!

and dude, the Texans are not always "playing from behind". More evidence that you have no idea what you are talking about.

    VY is waiting for you.....

It's ok LL, it's ok.....Mediocrity and settling for it can have it's own rewards.

But hey, maybe Vince can opt out and come to Houston next year.....then we can all unite.

    ;)

By the way, the Texans are on at noon and the Titans are on at 3, so the good news is you can catch an afternoon nap to rest up (I'm sure pulling all this bologna out of your butt takes quite a bit of energy) before watching "your team" destroy those mighty Rams!

Ooooh....even more lame put downs, because you can't win an argument, what? No petulant child comments?

Oh come on DM....you can do better than that.

And, for the record, for the first time this whole year, I can't see the Texans...the game is not on here in Austin.....so, I won't be able to comment on Schaub and his lame mediocrity....at least not in this game, but overall, I can...lol.

So, you get a week off.......the Titans aren't on either....

But, I do expect both teams to be 6-7 after today, don't you?

Oh, and LL, when it is all said and done, you want to bet who will be the better of the two QBs, Vince or Schaub? Who will have the better career? I will go with my boy, do you have your boys back?

how much more evidence do you need to ignore?

you've ignored donny's, mine, the 25 other members here and most importantly, what Schaub has done himself.

youre not going to change your mind and that's fine, but it still means you don't know what youre talking about.

Once you guys step away from the Houston Texans Crack pipe and look at it with a more studied eye, you will understand.

Until then, I will continue to know I am right and you guys are wrong.

Wins and losses boys...wins and losses......don't worry Archie Manning wasn't clutch either.
