LOL - poor guy, can't even take a difference of opinion without a put down. I am sure W/L records don't matter, right? Sure it is a team game, but CLUTCH QBs get their teams to win more often than not. Whatever though, keep up the name calling it just shows you lost. I wonder what the percentages would be on a message board not associated with a Houston team....???? DD
you mean like Boston? tell us, oh great DD, how do you think message boards in NE perceive Matt Cassel? beacause W/L defines how "clutch" a QB is. your vince-boy opinions and self proclaimed "player only" analysis couldn't be anymore incorrect. hence name calling. you're a bone head and a tool, and it reeks of attention whoring levels of fail. that doesn't show any sign of loss, it shows signs of me calling a spade a spade.
You see, DD, it isn't a difference of opinion... because I backed up my statement with facts and examples of Schaub's play and performances. I have yet to see you provide evidence of Schaub's poor play...
huh Drew Brees had a 7-9 and 8-8 record the last two years despite throwing some of the most amazing totals. Did he just suddenly become clutch this year? Or does it have something to do with the fact that the Saints suddenly have a defense?
Dada doesn't care about that. nor can he explain how a green biscuit like Cassel can go 11-5 in NE one year and 3-13 in KC the next. after all, it's Cassel's W/L record, not NE or KC's. Schaub isn't clutch. VY is. bottom line.
I always did think that Clutch had too strong of a cake-throwing arm to be a bear. HMM i smell conspiracy
Why don't you respond Northside Storm's post? Did Brees become clutch all of a sudden? Or is it their defense and running attack that has propelled him into becoming a clutch player? You asked us to show you articles that compared Schaub to the elite QB's in the NFL. We did that and of course you didn't even have the decency to acknowledge them. How many GM's would start a franchise with Vince Young over Schaub? I would say that it's not even a handful. For someone that claims to watch too much football, your posts reflects a person that doesn't know jack about the sport.
See this is what is funny, instead of making your point you question the poster's credentials, like yours or anyone else's on here are any better....I mean honestly, that is just stupidly funny. I am glad Schaub puts up numbers, but when I see him making careless mistakes at inopportune times like tossing the pick 6 against the Cardinals for example or the collapse against the Colts, it shows that he is just not clutch. The guy is a nice QB, an average to above average NFL QB, but not a good one, and certainly NOT a great one. And you could run the 40 faster than his pass gets out to the sideline... The problem is, I know it, and am trying to explain it to a group of fanboy homers......that is the problem. Feel free to expouse his numbers, and a few national articles saying he is playing well, but to those with the untainted eye, he is NOT Clutch. DD PS. I find it funny that people are comparing Cassell, when I have made no reference EVER to him being clutch or even decent as a QB...keep on moving that sand people...keep on moving it.......
1) Despite that fail play against the Cardinals, Matt put the Texans in position to take the game back. CLUTCH. 2) Matt didn't have his best game (but even still, Mr. Schaub had a comparable game to Peyton "best QB in nfl history" Manning), but he isn't responsible for the Texans giving up 28 points in the second half. I know you like basketball, but that's the thing about the defense in the NFL. Quarterbacks don't play it. So keep saying this a "difference of opinion" DD, but bottom line is, it isn't. The evidence of Schaub's ability to perform well against good competition and in crunch time has been shown OVER and over again. Yet you keep spouting hollow platitudes with your fingers planted firmly in your ears. At least you tried to bring evidence this time, however weaksauce (a blatant omission and blaming him for the defense, lol) it may have been. Bring something a little more substantive if you ever want to be taken seriously. I'm not holding my breath, though. You can begin whining about how we're all homers and we just can't handle your "take" now.
clutch? he has shown flashes but hasn't been consistently clutch IMO. He definitely is not a bad quarterback. The game vs Jacksonville spoke volumes about Schaub. The offense is not the same w/o him and he gives up the best chance to win. My biggest problem with him is the interceptions he throws. All qb's throw picks, but he just has a knack for throwing a pick 6 at the most inopportune times. Every time I watch a game, I want him to throw a pick in the first quarter just so he can get it out of his system. Throwing a pick 6 in the 4th quarter is just depressing. again clutch? I don't think so but he's our best bet at winning.

Yall do know most of the Schaub hate is cuz of Vince, right? Just lettin' yall know the reals in Houston, TX.
Says the guy shifting the sand by posting a Texas longhorn video in trying to prove his point. ROFLMAO. You guys will learn, a fragile, rag armed QB, who is slower than Dumbo shot with a hyperdermic dart will never be clutch. They could win with him though, just got to have someone else make plays to help him because he is not able to do it himself. Matt Schaub ..... Mr. Unclutch. I find it LOL funny that people on a site named CLUTCHFANS, are trying to compare a guy with a losing record to being clutch....yeah...uh...whatever. Or maybe you guys are just trying to say the entire team is UNCLUTCH...which is fine too as he is on that team....thus making him...Unclutch. DD
