It was the number I came up with out of nowhere, to say that there are issues, and QBs have some, but in the grand scheme of things are actually no more than any other position. But its a one man position unlike 2-4 WR, 2-3 RB, 5-7 OL, etc.....

What got me was it was a quicker out inside to the TE, one that he usually completes or doesnt even throw. Didn't even see the LB there. That was on him.

Is there any question now? Some were arguing this at the beginning of the year:

    Favre > Schaub

    I would say Favre '08 < Schaub.

But Favre '09 looks like Favre '98. Sheesh.

They have an awesome offensive line and a beast of a running back.

Their D is great and they have the best defensive linemen in the NFL. It's really hard to compare the two QB's imo.

    This also plays a factor

    Peterson > Slaton/Brown/Moats

you can even throw this in there if you like

    Vikings D > Texans D

Why does this matter? The Vikings D gives good field positions, allows the Vikings to play with a lead and not from behind. Not saying we have a bad defense but when you have to play from behind it changes the offense in terms of playcalling

QUESTION: Is the QB the HEAD of the offense? [Him and the Coach]

Has this Offense put together 4 solid quarters of football in one game?

I think Kubiak is too conservative
    and
that seems to make Schaub a bit tentative

Well, these are all reasons why I said Favre would have a better year than Schaub at the beginning of the season, but I was roasted for them at that time. Now you guys are using the same reasons for why Favre is having a great year, lol. Favre also leads the entire NFL in QB efficiency. #1 in the NFL.

Who's "you guys"? Those factors ALWAYS play into how a QB plays, and I never discredited Favre I just pointed out some variables

This is true, but its kinda hard to compare since they havent been in the same situations. Favre has certainly thrown his share of pick 6's. I think Favre may have this team at 6-4 but Schaub has the Vikings pretty much at their current record.

    I'm not a Schuab guy
I think Texans paid too much for him [2 draft picks on top of the money hurt]

    that said
    someone needs to inform Kubiak
SCHAUB IS *NOT* DAVID FRICKING CARR

Kubes needs to show more trust in his QB

when you have bad games from enough key players (and coaches) then it usually spells a loss.

There's enough blame to go around on this one, but since Kubes likes to solely accept blame on losses, then we'll crown him for this game.

Antonio Smith had a bad game as well. Stripes were bad too with that bogus PI on an uncatchable ball.

Exactly. I thought they were over that before Schaub got hurt last year. I wonder if all the extra deep throws today were due to the opponent being the colts. Perhaps the team prepared with scoring more points in mind so had more homerun attempts in there.

    That one hurt.

We didn't put ourselves in a position to get a call like that bc we stopped going down the field. But at the same time, Schaub's throw into what seemed like triple coverage (first pick) probably changed the game plan.

Too much to think about. On the bright side, I'm fairly numb to these losses after our last 2 brutal defeats.
