Lowry and Brooks should start TOGETHER. Martin is good and all, but he can create his own shot; he doesn't need to mix with Lowry. Brooks can, but he is SO much more effective when playing with Lowry.
Not really. Because there is no Bull Durham option. "Never, **** with a winning streak" IE, the first unit has pretty good chemistry right now, no need to rock the boat. DD

There's something funny about the poll numbers. Out of the last 50 votes, Brooks has gotten maybe 45? Also I have exactly ten user names visible out of the ninetysomething votes for Brooks. Is there a glitch in the software so you can vote multiple times?
I suppose that's it but I remembered that you couldn't vote if you are not logged in as a registered user. Well, I guess I remembered wrong, then.
Which is why I'm not voting at all because the poll options are stupid. But hey you did go for the second option
Good thread -- I was actually thinking of starting something similar myself. Though I would have added a "Brooks is not healthy yet" option. That said, I'm not sure I agree with the "Brooks isn't healthy yet" crowd. He's been back for a while now and has looked full speed or close enough to it lately. I'm actually shocked that Lowry has remained the PG.. to me, that shows that Adelman is going to roll with Lowry until he loses the job (cue larsv8/DD post telling us they would admit they're wrong if Adelman continued to start Lowry). I mean, just the other night I saw Adelman sub out Brooks with 6minutes left in the game and roll with Lowry/Martin. Now, I'm actually a bit disappointed that Brooks hasn't gotten more minutes. He's our best offensive player and this season seems to be killing what trade value he built up last year. If I was Morey and had to pick a PG, I'd ship out Lowry and keep Brooks. Lowry is more well-rounded, but Brooks has an ability that very few people have -- the ability to get off his own shot and make it at an acceptable clip. In the end, I think I value that the most.
I know DD is going to disagree, but... Kmart is more valuable than AB Kmart is a better shooting guard, than aaron brooks is a PG it's either bench kmart and start brooks, or vis versa.. AB is a small shooting guard, courtney and Ab look good together cause Lee isn't a shoot first player.. Lowry is a TRUE point guard.. and look at the championships in the last ten years... chauncy billups was the only person to win one.. Rondo, Fisher, Parker, Williams.. a score first pg is like having a micheal vick, rather than a tom brady.
He is starting because he took advantage of an opening and is playing well enough to keep it. It happens and the team will have to deal with it. It happened with Shane and Posey in Memphis. Shane was the starter, but got hurt, posey took over and kept the job for the whole season. The next season, posey was back on the bench and the following season he was traded. It happens and it will happen again.
That's exactly how I look at it. It doesn't mean that Lowry is better than Brooks. In the same way, when Brooks was starting last year ahead of Lowry, I didn't think it necessarily meant that Adelman believed Brooks was "better" than Lowry either. Brooks got the starting gig when we traded Rafer, he did some good things in the playoffs, and he played well enough to not give Adelman a reason to move him back to the bench. Maybe Brooks is the better player, or vice versa, but who starts has more to do with comfort level and not shaking things up too much than who's the better player.
