Morey has been with the same team for how many years? Lebron starts over with a new team and new salaries every four years. Not to mention, leaving the last team with horrible contracts. Oh and players are about to recruit other players YEARS in advance.
He's a prima dona. Owners put up with him because he up the chances of getting a championship. While the fans can benefit, but several those championship (or near championship) rosters cost lot of money.
This Lakers team sucks. Lebron and AD together though, they can drag a bunch of scrubs to the championship. He went to a place that another superstar already wanted to go and forced his way there is in no way a credit to Lebron the "GM." He is a top 2 player of all time though. That definitely counts for something.

When Lebron traded for AD, I was definitely saying "Do something Maury" But, Lebron doesn't have the genius to design the Nene contract that Shocked the World. Although, if Lebron da GM had Morey as an assistant capologist to come up with the idea for him, the League never would have blocked it, and he would have successfully converted it into a trade for Iggy, like Morey had hoped.
It's like LeBron can just stroll into a Ferrari dealership on a Tuesday morning and just drive home in a new one within 15 minutes. Meanwhile, Morey is trying to turn a 1999 Power Ranger Pez Dispenser into a 2002 Mazda Miata through multiple trades on Craiglist.
LeBron has the freakiest body the NBA has ever seen mixed with Kobe/MJ mentality. Yeah, he will always be under those two in terms of talent and refs complaining/flopping. BUT, he just needs another star to sidekick with him to completely take over games/series. (well, MJ and Kobe also needed one). HE is the one demoralizing all the teams the Lakers are steamrolling this playoffs. AD, Rondo and even ****ing CARUSO were able to step up after that LeBron's huge shadow.
I don't think that's the right question. I think we should ask if Lebron is a better GM than Harden. The man goes around every off season calling up the guys he wants to play with and coordinating who he wants to play with. He then coordinates with the actual GM of his preferred destination to make it happen. Either Harden really has no friends that want to play with him or he is just too proud to form a Super Team or our owners have been too cheap to help him form one.
LeBron is, literally, also not a general manager. So this thread is already moot. Really hope someone doesn't start a "Is Daryl Morey a better player than LeBron James?" thread.
