Disagree about the replacement stuff. Brooks healthy could get into the paint at will. Brooks in his mip yr always scored 20 and got 5 asst with a good fg%. Healthy brooks with dragic as a backup and the record is the same. Why? He can make up scoring wise when martin is playing like a woman. Jmo

Lowry is basically averaging career highs (x/min and % wise) in every single category, yes including turnovers. 3pt, FT, TS all career highs but yeah his "shooting is down".

God can't help the AB/KM backcourt on defense. The argument basically boils down to KM vs AB being debatable (which is kinda what you are saying as well) but pair either of them with KL and you're way better, and two years ago was evidence of this. The team always played better with KL on the floor especially in the 4th but of course AB outplayed KM that year as well so they teamed up a lot.

Sure he got into the lane, bu twhat did he do once he got there?

He was terrible at finishing, at drawing fouls, and a so-so passer. My enduring image of him is Aaron penetrating, getting stuck underneath the basket, and tossing it back out. All that does is waste time on the shot clock.

And btw, since you're dropping a stat-based argument here - what would you say if I showed you evidence that his 20-5 that you are so impressed by isn't really that impressive when viewed in proper context?

Brooks was more of a scorer than a true PG. I kinda miss the guy at times. I'd rather have Brooks than Martin.

Also because defenses would collapse on him. They would mainly use their PF to double him in the paint every time he drives and give him the most contact they could get away with. Howard couldn't make jumpers after his first season in Houston, so Tracy just started jacking up jumpers because he couldn't produce as much off the drive.

All I'm saying is that Kyle's defense has gotten regressed to the point of AB, yes this could be true of the back to back to back and 4 games in 5 nights. However, we all know that defense is about effort and Kyle is not putting that effort into his defense like the pass.

I wish McHale would give him a break and allow him to play 30 to 35 minutes. But Dragic is even worse.
