No, but Corey Brewer is consciously envious of Corey Brewer 2.0's 30pt streak

No. IMO, it's the bright lights of NY. I've noticed KPJ tends to try and show out in "big" games.

What do you hope we do with him this offseason JR

The pouting fits are hard to get out of my mind, I hate the idea of keeping around someone with such a poor attitude during a rebuild.

But damn the guy is talented, he got his turnovers under control and his spot-up shooting has shined

I want to see them tear up Pro-Am leagues like Harden and Paul did before their first year, drag the top prospects out there too and turn it into the ultimate Ballislife video.

I still think KPJ is best suited as a scoring wing of the bench by the time he hits 26.

If he put in the same amount of work Jalen has this year, I'd feel way more comfortable going forward.

He honestly would be a good starting SF that can be your secondary playmaker

KPJ: Consistently putting up big numbers and hitting clutch shots

Other NBA players: Consistently commenting on KPJ’s talent

Rockets’ Fans: “Ummm…maybe he should come off the bench so the other guys get more chances to brick 3s…”

No need for passing lanes when Tate, Mathews, & Christopher are 5-28

Jalen got his 30piece so go gets yours boo

I agree. He managed not to see Green open behind the line on more than on occasion, and at least a couple of those times inexplicably passed the ball to Sengun, also behind the line over towards the corner. Who is the obvious target here? Green. He was open, expecting the ball. I won't say it was deliberate, how could I possibly know? Perhaps he didn't see Jalen, although he certainly should have. In my opinion, KPJ is very talented, but what he is not is a point guard.

Thanks for shutting this bullshit down.

It's like people did not actually watch the game.

If you're going to bring isolated stats into this, at least share the whole picture. If there were 14 assist attempts to mostly three point attempts, and let's say the Rockets average 33% for simplicity's sake, then you'd need at least 24 assist attempts to get 8 assists, not 14. You're comparing the 12 and 11 assists he had in the previous games to 14 total assist attempts? You're only validating the argument.

The point here is not to vilify KPJ. It's to point out moments of immaturity that seemingly last an entire game versus just one heated moment, the former of which provide much more invaluable learning opportunities for growth than the latter (unless you're Will Smith).

Personally, I'm a ROF, not a JOF, and certainly not a KOH, for you KOFs.

A lot of the issues people have with how KPJ plays pg might just boil down to Silas. His offensive system seems almost entirely reliant on ball dominate guards and iso situations with a lot "your turn next" rather than playing as a single unit. Like for example, I wouldn't be surprised if KPJ for starting pgs ranks in the bottom tier for hockey assists because of the nature of how he will dominate a possession like a Luka or Harden.

So you could say my gripe is more with Silas then as he needs to create a better offensive system for the half court. One thing we can try the last two games is place Sengun at the high post a lot more frequently and have both Green and KPJ running around screens and cutting to the basket or popping off for a clean jumper.

This tweet is kind of dumb. Why is he passing to Sengun and Tate at the 3 point line when they are terrible 3 point shooters; there is a reason these guys are open.. Some of these are bail out passes because KPJ had no where else to go after he drove in. The purpose was to drive and score not to drive and kick to the right shooter.

KPJ passed to Sengun when Green was wide open, KPJ passed to Green when Gary was open, KPJ passed to Green when Green was covered by his defender, KPJ passed to KJ when Green was open again. come on, man.

it's pointless to critique KPJ without people spazzing out. some of these plays are not the right plays, lol

I liked the passes to sengun in the post. love the potential hockey assists.

I think people always liked his skill - although this recent trend is really extraordinary. It is more the fear of his attitude. If he can mature and keep his head on straight, he will be a really good player, that you can count on. In that he is similar to Wood - but Wood seems to be way more of a me first player than KPJ.

We have very skilled players - we need a coach and a culture to have all of them commit to playing winning team ball. I truly think, that we can be a playoff team next year - if we get everyone to focus on basketball and winning.
