    ru kidding me !

teamed with an all-star teammate, Kobe won 3 rings.

team with an all-star teammates, TMac missed the playoff one year, and never advance pass the first round the other years.

    just the facts.

And do you know why he missed the playoffs? Maybe because he was injured, dude how long have you been watching rockets games? And so your blaming that all on Kobe and not Yao? TMAC was just as good as you can get vs Dallas and we lost game 7. He doesn't deserve the blame.

Kobe was injured a # of times in the playoff; most recently the Utah series of 1+ week ago. he gutted it out, something TMac couldn't do.

ps. i watched the Rox enough to know that he doesn't have the intestinal fortitude, a la Kobe / Moses / Hakeem / MJ / Bird / Magic.

What are you talking about?!?!??!?!?!?! He missed the playoffs because of his BACK SPASMS WOW! It was so bad he collapsed during a game and had to be taken to the emergency room, if your going to talk about a topic stick with it. You tell me he missed the playoffs and now your telling me about how Kobe played vs the jazz, you know what else bud? Tracy played with knees bad enough that he just had surgery on them and still put up 28ppg.

I think that in their primes it's pretty much a dead heat. Definitely a lot closer than many of you guys are saying. I would say that I'll take T-Mac in his prime because he had less to work with and still got some sort of results. Pat Garrity is a 15th man on a lot of teams and yet he was like the fourth best player on the Magic at the time. I think that Kobe could save his like Killer Instinct for fourth quarters b/c he was playing with a good supporting cast where as T-Mac had to play out of his mind all the time to allow the Magic to have any chance at success. I'll take T-Mac during that 3-5 year stretch when he was winning scoring titles and dominating. But obviously now Kobe is better, and career wise Kobe is better. Both HOFers though.

Well I think T-Mac gets into the hall if we win 1, which I'm kind of expecting. But even if we don't, he still has a fairly impressive body of work. His scoring must be pretty high up there right? Besides he was the youngest to ever win a scoring title, I think the first to win 2 in a row. If he has a few more productive seasons than I think he's in.

T-mac is better. Give T-mac a coach like Phil Jackson and let's see what he can do. Let's not forget Mcgrady has better playoff numbers than Kobe.

In his prime, McGrady was better.

Put T-Mac on the Lakers this year, and Kobe with the Rocket this year.

The question would be, is McGrady better than MJ?

When comparing individual players, please ignore team success.

you serious? no wonder you are a TMac hater, did you just started following bball? Go checkout who is in the HOF. Compared to some of those guys, TMac is HOF guaranteed whether he wins a playoffs series or not (who the f made up this criteria anyway? winning championship I can understand).

haha nice way of masking Shaq and Yao as all stars, hater. Forget that Yao is/was never even friggin close to how dominant Shaq was with the championship Lakers.

Well they both very good players. I would go with Kobe now. Comparing when they are at their prime is not a good one because at their prime, Kobe got rings while TMac never got over the first round. Never like consider all IFs and BUTs such as if TMac has Shaq and coach Phil because no one knows
or no is sure of what will happen.

Every back2back scoring champ is in there, there are only 7 i think that have achieved that anyways. 13 in 33 kind of sealed the deal as an ESPN analyst was saying along with being the 4th leading playoff scorer of all time at 28 ppg behind jerry west, iverson, and Jordan

its flattering that all you dudes copy my style.
at least put some pictures on here man.

also, this is also in the running for oldest debate of all time.

For the record again, I could careless about what Tmac did as a member of the Orlando Magic.

This is like the kid who got straight As in high school and ended up failing college, the stupid, but he was a great student in high school doesn't mean squat.

Hell, in his prime Steve Francis was an All Star, but don't tell that to the Orlando fans.

    that's impossible,

Rookies can't make posts of the year, that's why they are rookies. only veterans and members.
