Yeah, all the verbal gaffes remind me of another Williams... Of course, none of his opponents are black, and there's something inherently "phony" about Southern white yuppies being offended by racist remarks (as if they've never made any themselves) so I bet this turns out a little better for Kinky than it did for Ol' Clayton (who I think came off more as a sexist, anyway, a direct affront to Richards). It'd be kind of nice to hear him discuss concrete, passable policy and legislative initiatives, rather than playing the "political outsider, no more business as usual" game. And Goddamit I don't want Bum Phillips for a freaking governor: "he can tax his'n to fund your'n, havin' a budget surplus is like kissin' your sister, goddang by-durn sumbitch texas jewboy well dogey." Probably a better challenger, though, than Tony "my bank laundered money for Mexican and South American drug lords and I didn't know about it" Sanchez.
